This hotel is very old (hey - it's Europe) but in great condition. It's a bit hard to navigate with the outer courtyard doors, inner doors, and the flight of stairs to reception. There is a lift, but it's tiny. The woman working reception was pleasant, but had limited English. She seemed most concerned that I knew I had to pay the nightly tax at checkout. The room was clean and neat, but quite small. The bathroom was very nice and had an excellent shower. The hotel is well-situated, with in walking distance of The Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese park, and lots of restaurants and cafes. The walk from the train station was about 25 minutes, and is tough with luggage. The walks are not all in the best states of repair. It's a pretty quick taxi ride, so I'd recommend taking a cab from Roma Termini station.

Pros - Room is clean, area is safe, quiet, good options for dining, walkable to many view points - Trevi fountain, spanish steps, near to Roma termini train station for easy commute. Cons - Getting in is tricky, no reception present for check-in, Hot water not working , AC working intermittently.

Cute hotel, and really enjoyed our stay here. Only complaint is that shower needs to be cleaned better. Other than that the room and the rest of the bathroom was very clean.

I traveled solo but they gave me a large bed which made the room extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly. I really like the fact that there was a refrigerator in the room. This was useful as there's a supermarket a few doors down from the property. Both Kim and Monica were responsive to my needs and I really appreciated the fact that let me keep bags there as I had a late flight out of Rome. I think this is a really good place for those considering an extended stay in the city.

This is a good little hotel. The only reason I am giving it a 3 star rating is due to the fact that we were moved to a different from from the original one, as the hotel needed our three bed room for other guests. This was a bit of an inconvenience to us, but the staff made it way for us. The new room was. It as comfortable due to a window that would shut properly, making it a hotter, as the air conditioner could not keep it as cool as could have been.

Fabulous stay in great neighborhood!
This was a fabulous stay for the price we paid, except that when we booked, it said we'd have free breakfasts, which ended up not being included. Other than that, the place was clean, comfortable, spacious and in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that was walking distance from many of the main tourist sites in Rome.

Great place. Clean and on a hot Roman day the AC worked great. Had a view of the street below. Convenient market down below. Refrigerator in room. Coffee in the common areas. The lady that worked there was extremely helpful. We were able to leave our luggage on checkout day and pick it up later. Great restaurants nearby. Quick walk to the Spanish steps.

Convenient location and comfortable rooms - a friendly welcome and a good spot for local bars and restaurants. A short walk to pick up spots for major bus routes (tourist) and about 15 mins to Trevi fountain

Amazing price
Everything was amazing. We stayed in room 110. We were there during a heat wave but the air conditioning had no problem keeping up. The room was very clean. The shower and bathroom were nice. The only thing I was worried about was check in. I am used to staying at hotels with a 24/7 front desk. Rita made checking in so easy. You can not beat the location for the price. We also used the shuttle service from the air port. It was amazing. We will be coming back

I loved n’y stay at Boncompagni Suite. The room is spacious, air conditioned and very clean even if the building is old. We had a warm welcom. The hotel is only 6 rooms in a bigger building. Very silent and comfortable, near transportation and food and shopping options and very near to Villa Borghese.

No one was present when we tried to check in during the afternoon and had to call the number on the door. After a second try, they explained where the keys could be found (several keys took a bit to understand which key was for which door). Room was comfortable with good air conditioning and everything we needed. Area of town was in a quieter area, but it felt safe. On our second night there was a leak in our bathroom ceiling, which caused a power outage in our room. No staff answered our calls when we tried to notify them. We spent the night in a hot, stuffy, humid room with water dripping sounds and got ready in the dark. We finally got a message in the afternoon from staff saying they found the leak and would be sending someone in for repairs so we should find somewhere else to stay. I think they have given us a refund (not confirmed yet), and the leak certainly wasn’t the fault of the hotel (there are different suites and businesses above). Unfortunately, last minute hotels in Rome were triple the price we paid by booking ahead and grabbing our things and checking in somewhere else was quite inconvenient. It would have been helpful if staff gave us recommendations of where to stay, or tried to get us a discount somewhere. We only saw staff once briefly in the morning during our 2 nights.

There’s a nearby supermarket and a restaurant just right beside it. The suite is on the 2nd floor and has an elevator. AC is cold which was one of my worries in the beginning considering it was very hot during the day. Otherwise, great stay.

Great Experience
We had a Great stay at the Boncompagni Suite. We arrived in Rome after 5:00 and Rita was there to meet us at the Door. The Suites consists of 5-6 rooms on the first floor of a historic building located in a nice area not far from the Villa Borghese and within walking distance to many historic sights. There were many restaurants and coffee bars nearby. As well as shopping opportunities. It’s also within walking distance to the Rome train Terminal. The facility is very clean and well kept. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom immaculate and not tiny as are most in the Roman capital. There is even a small elevator to get you to the first floor if you need it. Rita and her staff were so helpful and kind. It was easily the best experience we have had in Rome.

Hotel is on 1st floor of an apartment complex, so was a little hard to find. Once we figured it out, no problems at all. The room was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 adult children), as there was a double bed and then 2 singles in an adjoining room (that room was very spacious). Lady at front desk was really lovely. We had to leave early the next day (before breakfast would be ready), however she gave us a basket of crossiants/pastries in our room that night, and we were able to have them early before we left.

Liked that a group of 5 could be accommodated together. Cleanliness was excellent Consideration may be given to providing enough tea/ coffee for 5 though and milk for tea/coffee. Fridge was very useful. As a larger group with children it would have made a big difference to have had a microwave and cutlery available with a supermarket so close this would have made our trip more affordable.

Feel at home :) yet
I must say - It' worth staying at this place as it's very near to Spanish steps , Bernini fountain and other beautiful monuments , only if you walk along the for road 10 -15 minutes . Not only it' nice & calm place , but very well maintained by Rita ( the host ) . She was very helpful and even keep you updated before you get in the place :) . Just under this suite , you have very nice Boncompagni restaurant , if you feel tired or lazy to go out - then just catch for a drink & dinner . Very close to Repubblica & Termini as well . When you donot feel like going out , just open the window , nice breeze , sunshine straight in your room and keep sipping your cup of tea or wine in the evening . More over you have a small super market next to the suite , in case your ran short of anything . All in all it's fantastic stay , not feeling out of home .

We enjoyed our stay at Boncompagni Suites, comfortable accommodation in a good locality within easy walking distance to most attractions. The only problem we encountered was that the toilet seat was coming off, which was uncomfortable. We have stayed at Boncompagni before and hope to again.

Nice staff
The front desk staff, Rita and Luciana, were very helpful during our stay. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms for 5 people that seemed not occupied very often so many things functioned minimally. The sink drained slowly. The hot water (provided from the hot water tank in the bathroom) is limited, not enough for 5 people. Being the furthest room from the reception desk, the wifi was not working most of the time. Breakfast is sufficient to get you going for the day.

Neighborhood Gem
The overall experience was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was awesome if you wanted a quieter atmosphere close to the sites in one direction and into cozy neighborhoods with locals in the other. Also easy to walk to from the train and bus stops! One downside was no night time staff to check you in or assist. But barely noticed it during the stay. And the one thing that kept it from a perfect stay was the mattress. It’s slightly older perhaps and was rather worn, which made it difficult to sleep. Wasn’t as noticeable the first night, but noticed the later times. Little convenience shop downstairs was a plus! Also near one of those natural fountains to get fresh water! Also near the US Embassy. Really enjoyed our stay and would consider again if in Rome!

Great stay, the staff is friendly. It’s close to bus stops, there’s a restaurants and markets in the immediate area. Breakfast is a plus.Small rooms but very comfy.
