I highly recommend Hu Camping Roma Very easy access to the center of Rome, staff very helpful .our house very beautiful , clean. Everything we needed was on site- restaurant,shop,food was amazing, I will definitely come back there again on my next trip to Roma Edyta

Hu is a great place to stay as a family. There is a pool (only open after mid-April), there is an on-site restaurant, there is laundry, kids play area, and more. It was classified as “family friendly” with quiet hours at 11pm, but during supper and breakfast there was hip-hop videos playing in the dining room and some were inappropriate for kids. Additionally, we had to wear noise-cancelling headphones to bed because the noise from other camp sites extended way beyond 11pm.

Overall this property was very clean, yet there are some improvements. The location is quite far from the city center. There's a bus station at the entrance, which is conveniently located. Be prepared to commute 45 minutes or more to make your way in the city center. A supermarket is conveniently across the street. They will be able to store your bags securely until check in time if you wish to explore the city. Inconveniences: the water pressure was poor and the water temperature was inconsistent (hot/cold). When attempting to call the service phone number at three different times one week leading to my stay, I was unable to connect to an agent (on hold for 1 hour without connecting). Disappointed that I was unable to coordinate a shuttle from the airport to the Hu campground. Despite completing an online check-in, once arrived, we had to wait over 30 minutes to access our keys.

We enjoyed our Premium stay in Hu Roma in Town. It was very clean and comfortable. Very well designed room and kitchen. The large sinks in every room are great features. The bus stop was just at the front of the gates. Very good menu in the Restaurant, but we were overcharged. When we asked for the bill, we were only told the total price without receipt. Otherwise my family was very happy with everything else. The pool looked nice, but it was closed off for this season.

The room was very clean however, there was a terrible unpleasant smell that ran through the entire unit, making it difficult to feel relaxed. We were sent a check-in online however, we still had to wait a long while to check in at the counter. The process could have been more efficient as there were many people waiting. Overall, our stay was good.

I was very impressed from the start. They were ready and quick as it seemed busy when we got there. The grounds were clean and well kept. There was a grocery store and a restaurant on the grounds, it is a small store thut the prices i thought were good prices. The restaurant food was very good.

My daughter and I LOVED the quiet, family atmosphere. We definitely felt safe. Public transportation was nearby with a 5 minute bus ride to the Metro and the market was well stocked. The room was exactly as advertised and beds comfy. We highly recommend!!

Our chalet was cozy. Just right for us as we spent our days exploring Rome. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful: answered all our questions, found transportation options, and even turned on the heat in the chalet.

Cheap stay but you definitely get what you pay for. First room we had was terrible, very dirty so we paid to up grade, the upgraded rooms AC didn’t work so they moved us to another that we finally settled for. Over all unless your on a very tight budget stay somewhere else.

The property is amazing, so many great amenities available. There is a bus station just outside the property and a train station about 15 minutes walking away which is good for getting into the city

We had a chalet, which was 2 bed and 2 bath which worked well for us. Enjoyed the ability to cook or to go to restaurant. Pool was cold, to much for me but good for the kids. Bus right in front that takes you in several directions. Easy check in

good location compared to the price, Conad grocery store is just at the other side of the street. Bus stop is just in front of the hotel and Roma Aurelia train station is around 14 minutes walk. new rooms and extremely clean. - Chaotic, three staff members in reception serving 300 rooms. I had to queue 20 minutes to report about a problem in my room. - My room didn’t have a safe as described. - Terrible boiler in the shower room, the water turned freezing just after 3 minutes of using. Room was too small, barely could move. - Staff need to smile to the guests.

We would be happy for help in carrying the bags to the rooms. Both upon arrival and departure there was no one to transport the bags, even though we asked. Reception were very kind. The information about the transportation was helpful and convenient, the possibility to purchase tickets at the campsite, helped us a lot. They also helped us order a taxi to the airport. The place is very pleasant and quiet.

The "hut" by the entrance to give advice and help with transport and travel routes was amazing! We also loved that on our first day, staff were handing out refreshing watermelon to guests - this was much appreciated in the 38 degree heat! The shop was also lovely. However, there were a few issues while we were there. After checking in we climbed the 4 flights of stairs and went up the large hill to our room. Once we got there, the key card didn't work so my other half went back down to get this resolved. He came back up (all the stairs and the hill!) with a physical key which worked. However, once we opened the door, we found that someone else's luggage and clothing was inside. I went back down to reception and she said there shouldn't have been anyone as that room was reserved for us on the system. However she changed us to a new room (which was sadly a further walk!) We stayed for a week and our room was not cleaned once. We went to reception a couple of times and were assured it would be cleaned the next day. We left early in the morning each day to allow the cleaners to come in but they never did. The pool was stunning, however people were queuing about 2 hours before it opened for a lounger and it was packed everyday! I am gluten free and was assured they catered for coeliacs. There were 2 GF options. I chose a lasagne microwave meal (in the microwavable box) which was cold in the middle. My boyfriend (not gluten free) was served a cold pizza.

We stayed in a deluxe bungalow, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was great in the 37 degree heat! The fridge was very small but big enough to hold water and a few beers. No hot drink facilities in the room but apparently you can hire a kettle. The site is in a lovely setting once you are away from the main road. The pool area was great, lots of places to sit and find shade. It doesn’t open until 10am so you don’t have people holding sun beds. The lifeguard was brilliant, helped everyone to find somewhere to sit and kept the pool area really clean. All staff were helpful and friendly. The supermarket on site was ok but there is a large supermarket a 5 minute walk away over a bridge across the main road with lots of selection and where the bread was much fresher. We didn’t use public transport/ shuttles to get into Rome, but Ubered at an average cost of 18 euros each way. The on-site restaurant was delicious and reasonable. The pool side bar offers hot snacks such as pizza, paninis, fries, burgers etc but is not open until 12 so the only option for food onsite until then is the buffet breakfast which wasn’t to our personal taste but was always very busy. There are alternative places to eat within walking distance. There was a live band on 2 of the 5 evenings we stayed which was good. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Family of 5 stay in Rome
Lovely stay, ideal location for exploring Rome and easy access from the airports. We rented a car from the airport and were pleased to know the hotel had free parking. Very hand having a supermarket across the road, McDonald's for the kids and lots of pizza. We stayed in the Premium Chalet and it was perfect for a family of 5, 3 x single beds in one room with own shower and toilet, 1 x double bed with own shower and toilet. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Both rooms had aircon, out power went out one night but was quickly sorted in the morning. Biggest bonus was the pool in a heatwave, the life guard was super on it all the time so we felt confident letting the kids swim even if we had to get a sun loungers further back. He was also very on top of tbe Sun loungers and didn't allow people to hog them. Pizza is good at the restuarant, you can order takeaway too so easy dinners for the win. The receptions and info point were super helpful and I wish I utilised their service more and booked an excursion to pompei instead of driving as the Italian roads are co fusing and everyone drives like maniacs!

Was a wonderful clean safe place to stay. The front staff upon arrival were very abrupt and not very friendly. We arrived exhausted after long travel thirty minutes prior to their check in time and were told to come back at the appropriate time. We asked if we could go in to the restaurant to wait and were told we were not allowed on the property. We had on fifty pound backpacks and had walked over one and half kilometers from the train station. Our previous stays at the other two HU camping towns had been far more friendly and accommodating.
