won't stay here again

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Great location. Good restaurants around the area.
Cons: Breakfast food offerings.
Have been here before, but, sadly, seems to have gone downhill. Arrived to find water all over the BR floor and drain out of the sink. Indicated to me that someone had been working in the BR. Requested new room. Was told, no, plumber would fix it. Plumber showed up and said, need a new room. Wasted over an hour to get result I asked for. Breakfast was not good: lukewarm cappuccino, stale cornetto. OJ in a plastic cup. Didn't eat there after the first day. Staff friendly and helpful. Room barely fit king bed, no room to walk in room without hitting something.

Dear guest, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with the Hotel Caprice where you stayed a few days ago. How can you imagine the prices vary depending on the area, period and hotel availability. We therefore regret that the price did not seem appropriate to the services of a 3 star hotel. Also sorry that I did not like the breakfast; The products used are home-made and chosen with the utmost care that we are sorry that they have not satisfied it. We can assure you that we generally appreciate our customers for our central but quiet location and the availability and professionalism and courtesy of our staff as well as the services we offer. In fact, we care that the care and cleaning is optimal to make our guests stay a wonderful experience. We are sorry that his general discontent on our structure did not allow us to evaluate us positively. If you want to repeat your experience with us, we will be happy to welcome you again at Hotel Caprice or at one of the other Groupe Valadier facilities. Best regards

Breakfast room too small, somme people were asked to come back 30min later! On the other hand, a hand wrist tracker was left on the side next to the bed and disappeared once back ... I assume the person who cleaned the room took it with her!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your advice. Regarding your room, of course we will check this matter with our staff, we will try to understand what happened. We apologize for the size of our breakfast room, but being physically located in a historic building with walls and ceilings of pure classical style we cannot act on it. Attention to detail and high quality comfort is all that we want to offer in order to make your stay unforgettable. Thank you again for choosing us. Kind regards Hotel Caprice

Good location

Posted Oct 17, 2016
Pros: location
Cons: bathroom
Hotel location is great for restaurants and easy access for shopping. We were told that our room was upgraded from a standard room which was decorated well but part of the wallpaper was marked by water. There were also two boards nailed on the ceiling to cover possibly some damage to the ceiling. The bathroom was small with no bath(only shower)and the floor of the shower was uncomfortable to stand on. The bed was comfortable but with only one pillow .Lighting inside the room entrance was poor.

Convenient

Posted Sep 24, 2016 on Hotels
We stayed here for 3 nights. I booked it as a surprise for my new husband. I contacted the hotel before and asked if they could put a bottle of prosecco in our room as a surprise and they didn't disappoint. The staff are helpful and friendly and keep the hotel very clean. It's a great location off the main road so not noisy. We walked to all the main attractions ( furthest attraction is about a 30-35min walk) but if walking isn't your thing then the metro is a short walk away. Our room was clean and had everything you need. It's a good base to come back to after a long day exploring. The only negative I could fine ( and it's a very small one at that) is that our room wasn't very spacious but please don't let that put you off. I would defiantly recommend this hotel for a long weekend break and if we ever return I would stay again.

Lovely hotel

Posted Aug 12, 2016
Central location, close to a lot of restaurants, a short walk to the Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain. Next to the metro for connections to other sites. Room was lovely although a little on the small side. Fridge well stocked (pay extra for this). Air con very good, we had to turn it off in the night at August as it was pretty chilly. Breakfast room was very small and not much choice if I had to pick fault at anything.

Perfectly fine hotel for Rome

A great location to get to and from the sights without any hassle.in this case, the strip club next door does not indicate a bad neighborhood.

Dear Guest, thank you for the review. We are happy you enjoyed our 3 stars hotel in the famous Via Veneto area, known for being the favourite vip location during the "50's and 60's Dolce Vita Years". Is still one of the most beautiful and luxurious area in Rome, embassies and important companies are here. We are sorry for being near a lapdance bar but every city has some and sometimes are even in nicest area of the city. Thank you again for the compliments about our hotel services and staff. We will be very happy to welcome you soon again. Best Regards Guest Relations

We had an awesome view with balcony. Street sounds at night was great to listen to. Hearing music and restaurant activity was great.

Lovely staff, nice and clean rooms! Great price in such an expensive location, so near the Trevi Fountain - 5/10 min walk. Took us 30 mins to walk as far as the Vatican. Perfect place to stay on a budget
