Staying at the castle was a memorable experience. Be sure to get there in time for the sunset and photos. It is an elegant, upscale accommodation where we enjoyed a superior dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The breakfast which was included in the rate was excellent. We were passing by Rome on the way from Amalfi to Tuscany and wanted to break up the drive with a stop on the way but not go into Rome. After visiting Villa D’Este with its marvelous garden and waterworks in Tivoli we drove about 1/2 to hotel. It was perfect and there was even a wonderful spa there to enjoy!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Great building but the quality wasn’t there.
The castle is beautiful and the rooms are large...BUT the night I stayed there was a party just below my room which was SO loud. I wasn’t warned of this when checking in and when I called reception to complain they didn’t apologise, just said it would end around midnight (which it didn’t!).
The spa is small but suited my needs. It didn’t feel particularly clean. The steam room smelled musty and the tiles in the jacuzzi were a slippery.
All in all, the stay was fine (bed comfortable, good breakfast, beautiful building etc), but certainly not the quality I expected when paying this much. Such a shame.
The setting is spectacular! Beautiful property and unique hotel. Our room was cozy with comfortable beds. Everyone was welcoming and always smiling. Especially appreciated the assistance helping us arrange transportation...”Claudio” was great!
The property was situated in beautiful surroundings.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the free shuttle provided to and from the train station was very helpful.
It is a castle! In the beautiful Roman countryside. Stunning! Hotel shuttle can take you to the train station. It is about a 30 minute train ride to Rome city center, One warning- the Rome train system is poorly marked and you should research before arrival. You can buy train tickets at the hotel. Loved it! Very Game of Thrones!
A fantastic place to stay, away from the noise of Rome which was only 35 mins away on the train from la storta. Wonderful staff, couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Room was excellent, with a double and day bed for our daughter. The buffet breakfast was everything you could want. We would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Our whole stay was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, and their knowledge of the English language made our stay so much better.
We stayed for the Valentine’s Day celebrations- amazing high quality food, service and attention to detail, made it the most romantic of occasions.
We cannot wait to return to this wonderful venue.
The castle has touched our hearts and was a wonderful base to explore Rome.

This was our second visit, There was nothing that We did not like, it was all fantastic and absolutely beautiful, just how we remembered it from last time.
Staff are just 100% amazing, all of them. Maintenance of the castle is also 100% and it’s clean, fresh, authentic and really special.
Food is out of this world.

Dear Nicola,
Thank you very much for wonderful review!
We look forward your next stay at the Castle!
Yours sincerely
The hotel was beautiful. The rooms very big and comfortable. I had some issues with the tv and my friend with the heat in his room. The Jacuzzi was not strong and the sauna barely hot. We were not told about the construction so there was a lot of noise by my room at 630 am. One of the nights we stayed there was low occupancy so they offered us room service for breakfast instead of going to the dining room. The choices were limited and my friend and I usually took the time at breakfast to plan our day so we lost that opportunity. No refills on coffee either and no tea or coffee maker in room. The breakfast in the dining room was great! Overall we liked the hotel. Just a little far to go into Rome twice per day. Once for sightseeing and again for dinner. Definitely need a car! We imagine in the nice weather the place is gorgeous surrounded by nature! Pool looked great.

We have just returned from a two day excellent stay, with the rain being our only complaint.
The staff exceeded expectation and made our stay magical in every way.
The rooms are exquisite, the view out into the olive groves and rolling hills will be memorable. We hope to return again one day soon.
We enjoyed a stroll through the grounds. The dining was superb for both dinner and breakfast offerings were generous.
We loved everything about this historical hotel!
Fantastic value with easy connections to Rome with a hotel shuttle offered to the train.
We have stayed at many Rome hotels over the years and this one exceeded our expectations!
Fantastic experience from the initial induction to the last day handing the rooms keys back in. Definitely would recommend going to this wonderful venue again.
I would like to give a special thanks to the head receptionist who made the stay feel very personal and made sure we were accommodated at all times.

Beautiful medieval castle turned into a Relais. Outside of Rome in a secluded and relatively difficult to find area but once you are there you are transported to a different time. The hotel is well maintained. The tiny spa facility is more than adequate. The Tower suite was a wonderful experience.

We had only stayed one night before flying out of Rome FCO airport. The property is beautiful, the rooms are cute and the service was amazing! The restaurant was fantastic as well. We enjoyed our stay!

Walking into our room took our breath away. This place is amazing! It's totally worth the stay even for one night. I wished I could have stayed longer. And their little free roaming cat is so lovable! Sitting inside you sometimes wish the walls could talk.

This place was great, and being a castle, even "more cool"! Very clean and comfortable and the room was very spacious! Although we only stayed for a night, it was still worth it to experience it! The pool area, was amazing!
This trip was short due to a cancelled flight and not arriving till 2am. However staff was very helpful and hotel was beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed it. Gorgeous country setting, quiet and elligant. Will go back again if I have the chance.
Country setting outside of Rome. There is a shuttle from hotel to train station. 25 minutes to St Peter’s Basilica. From there we walked to Via Condotti, Spanish steps. We had stayed at a hotel on Via Veneto for 4 nights so this is a nice change of pace. Restaurant serves excellent food at reasonable prices.
The hotel is beautiful with period furniture and decor. The same goes for the room that is big and comfortable.
We had a very good dinner in the restaurant.
Very pleasant stay.
