The hotel itself is ok but we were not particularly fond of the location. If you like the idea of walking to some local restaurants or shops... this hotel is not for you. You can reach the local high street in 15 minutes but you have to walk on a really narrow pavement (barely wide enough for 1 person) with busy traffic all around and no lights at night.
The hotel shuttle is scheduled to reach Vatican in 15 minutes but it took us 35-40 minutes in the morning. Plus, if you want to go anywhere else than Vatican before 4 pm, there is no hotel shuttle bus and you need to take a taxi or use public transportation. Public buses are always late so don't rely on the times you find on Google maps! A journey that was supposed to take 20 minutes took us 50 minutes by public bus. Metro is ok but again, you need to walk or take a bus to the metro station. It is not that obvious when looking at a map but everything is far away for this hotel.
Overall - staff was nice, we liked the pool, our room and breakfast. However we wouldn't stay again because of the location.

Thank you so much for your review of our hotel.
I am pleased to read your appreciation about the staff, pool, room and breakfast.
By reading your review we see that you didn’t’ find shops, restaurants (Arturo just at the doorstep of our Hotel) , bars, cafes and supermarket available in a small village 300 meters on our left hand side.
The Crowne Plaza Rome-St. Peter’s is an urban resort featuring facilities that of course you won’t be able to find in a more central location such as gardens, 25m length swimming pool, pool bar, Spa, tennis courts, large comfortable bedrooms and extensive free parking facilities.
It was a pleasure having you stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you back in future.
With best regards,
Davide Grilli, General Manager
