Lovely boutique hotel!

Posted Oct 26, 2016
Pros: It was quaint and cozy, with nicely appointed rooms in a quiet part of Rome, only 10 min. from the airport. The hotel clerk was very nice and accommodating, and spoke English very well. She arranged our transport from the train station to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport, which was very much appreciated.
Cons: The proprietors are not on site from 10 p.m. until the following morning. Should we have needed something, a phone number was provided, however.
Location: Location was in a quiet area 10 min. from the Rome airport. A few restaurants around - not much more. Had a delicious dinner at a nearby restaurant

hard to find / elevator one level up

Posted Oct 20, 2016
This hotel while clean and neat was hard to find and has only one staff on site. There is no parking available and my luggage had to be carried up 7 steps before it was at the elevator.

A secret gem just 10 minutes from the Airport

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Location: On the marina of a fishing village which is very pleasant for strolling and lined with many restaurants and bars.
I was looking at the Guide Michelin for a seafood restaurant in Rome and happened upon Pasccusi di Porticciolo (a wonderful dining experience, by the way) in Fiumicino. That started a search for a Fiumicino hotel that was not the typical nondescript, vending machine airport hotel. Domus Lina, a simple, but perfect boutique hotel, is a real gem. The bedroom was spacious, light and airy and very comfortable with a terrace overlooking the river. The bathroom was one of the best we have experienced in Italy. We vowed that whenever we are flying into/out of Rome, we will make a point of staying one or two nights at Domus Lina and returning to Pasccusi, which is a short two block walk across a pedestrian bridge over the river to a gastronomic adventure. Best of all, the trip to the airport is stress free!

An Oasis

Posted Sep 28, 2016
Had a great stay there in a beautiful, comfortable room. Very clean and well-kept. The young woman at the front desk was extremely welcoming, friendly, and kind. She worked hard to help us in any way she could. A welcome rest after the craziness of Rome.

Nice hotel convenient to airport

Posted Dec 5, 2015
Pros: The rooms are clean and well appointed. The hotel is quiet . They have recently updated rooms, reception area, and the roof dining area.
Location: The area is close to a working fishing pier which is quite interesting.
The staff speak English and are well informed. The breakfast is very nice and the cappuccinos are excellent! The evening aperitif is lovely. The hotel can arrange for transportation to and from the airport no matter the hour and at a reasonable cost.
