The shower had mold, was told the curtain would be replaced but it was just lightly cleaned. The air conditioning was very good. Right around the hotel is dirty and it’s on a steep hill. Close to the tourist attractions. Good place to just sleep and that’s it.

Great place for the price. Its cozy and the two staff members are so friendly and helpful. It is exactly what you pay for perfect for Solo travelers and amazing location. Less than a 10 min walk for Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain.

The coffee maker didn’t work, everything was old, dirty and outdated. Couldn’t get us a taxi, no hair salon or bicycles to rent and was hard to communicate with.

I would not stay here again. I know Roma is over 2000 yrs old but the state of the rooms is far cry from my expectation at 200E a night. My brothers room base mattress was extremely nasty. I will forward picture upon return from my trip

I’ve no idea where to begin but my overall experience was 0 ! For 4 people they gave us a tiny tiny room with 3 beds although they were aware of a baby being on the booking no baby bed was provided Twice was told they will bring baby bed but we never saw it! The rooms are tiny and dusty expect a lot of dust! And they said breakfast included what they mean is they have these dry cheap croissant in the room that are terrible ! That’s what they mean breakfast

Never saw or spoke to anyone at the reception desk multiple times during out short stay of one night. Everytime we went by there was no one there. Then I received an email later that we didn’t check in. Our key was left on the counter instructing us to let ourselves in.

Very nice and helpful staff. Bathroom was small and outdated. The bed and pillows surprised us as they were really comfortable even if not fancy. The free breakfast is “European style”, so some dry items left in the room the previous day. It was ok. For the Quebec tourists, this hotel is in the same building than the Quebec delegation office in Rome. Could be helpful.

Advertising on the hotel was very misleading. The distances to main areas where further. They had advertised breakfast included. You received a prepackaged croissant in a bag and that was it. Drink not included you had to pay per item. I was very disappointed in this hotel.

According to Hotels.com breakfast would be in a nearby bar. This was not true - breakfast consists of very dry bread and yogurt. We chose to have breakfast out, even though it was included in the price. We had to move to another room after 1 night.

Great staff
The staff were great, particularly the front desk guy. Went out of his way to help. However, the bathroom floor and shower are dangerously slippery. I had a bad fall because, as soon as there is any water, they are very slippery. Needs to be fixed. I spent a day in hospital after slipping on the shower floor.

Not a Hotel in the typical sense
2 city blocks from Piazza Barberini & Barberini Metro stop (not near Piazza di Spagna). Hint - 2 doors up from National Gallery of Ancient Art in Barberini Palace. There is no signage on the building exterior, the outside looks like many of the apartment buildings on the street. I walked by it 5 times before i saw the 1/2 inch x 1 inch label [ Hotel 2000 Roma ] on one of the 10 call buttons on the door bell brass plaque. Basically a set of condos which have been cut up into guest rooms each with its own bath. No common areas, a single person sits at a table near the inner door to "buzz" you in through the outer door. Breakfast is a cup of yogurt, a cup of milk, 1 pod of coffee to brew in the machine in the room or 1 tea bag. a handful of dry oatmeal "mueslei", 1 cello wrapped croissant. room was clean & quiet , could have gotten more service and ambiance for less $'s elsewhere. I asked about a safe for my pass port- they were going to put a post-it note on it and place it in a drawer.

Dear guest, ours is a building bound by cultural heritage and it isn't allowed to put external signs.You had the address and you have to stop at n16 without going back and on. We are a guest house we don't have to have common spaces necessarily. Breakfast is served in the room and what you describe doesn't seem to me many. With best regards

Lovely hotel with great location. Room was clean and as just as described on web site. Staff was very friendly, polite and accommodating. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with is the continental breakfast . The room has a refrigerator with Some yogurt and juice. Croissants and crackers were provided in room daily. And of course coffee/tea. If you’re American this is not a typical ‘continental breakfast’ . It’s a European continental breakfast which was provided as advertised and actually suited us just fine. I would definitely stay here again.

Dark, quiet, cozy room with just the right mattress, slept better than at home. Room includes an espresso machine but the breakfast is packaged foods so better to fetch groceries or a pastry from nearby. Location is convenient and easy to find.

Excellent location for visiting all of the major attractions e.g. Trevi fountain 4 minutes away. 24hr reception but free breakfast at nearby bar was not given....instead had to make due with packets of muesli / cereal bars and make your own drinks (only one tea bag as well)

My wife and I stayed here in early September 2018 with our 6 month old child. It was not a pleasant experience. The hotel was challenging to find, dark (very little natural light) and the “breakfast” was awful. The aircondtioning was loud and bed was two solos pushed together. A cot was provided after requested (even though the booking had confirmed one). On departure, there was a €14 tourist tax to pay. The card machine didn’t work and the concierge insisted it was a Rome-wide issue. With only €8 cash on us, we offered to pay if the hotel emailed us an invoice. After about a 10min stand off, the email offer was declined by the hotel, so we left our €8 on the counter and just left. Although the hotel was well situated in the city, everything else about it was poor. Steer clear!!!

Dear Mr. Coombes the truth is that there was no request for a cot in your booking. The credit card machine worked great, you said you didn't have the money to pay and you left only 8 euros. We have reported to the City of Rome your name and non-payment because in Italy you are required by law to pay the tourist tax. About the bill we do it only to the guests who payed, we don't send invoices to the guests who didn't pay like you. Let's find out about the laws of the countries where you go on vacation. Best

Great location when we finally found it. Never judge a book by it's cover, no outside markings saying it was a hotel so not easy to spot but then none of the hotels on that road were. A lot of the hotels you had to look very closely at the name on the door intercom and ring the bell to be let in. Once inside it was very lovely.

The staff were friendly and nice but the bed has bed bugs. We woke up after brief nap after check-in and saw the bugs in day light. We packed our bags and the hotel staff noved us to a bigger room and you can tell, sleeping has never been relaxing and even though there were no bugs in the room. The milk frother wasnt washed, so we never ate anything they left for breakfast in the mini fridge except for packaged bars. The yogurt etc was left untouched. We paid the ciry's tax and they didnt give us a receipt. Bring your soap and shampoo. Location is excellent and very convenient. Taxi stand and local train station nearby. Grocery and convenient food, high end shopping, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps 10 mins walk. Termini station is 5 mins away by taxi €6 or €10 uber.
