Very nice hotel, centrally positioned.

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Central position
well received by polite and efficient staff. The Hotel was well positioned for ease of access to all parts of central Rome. Breakfast was adequate, but the closing time of 10.00am was maybe a bit too early.

Good location but "tired"

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet and location of hotel
Cons: Beds, pillows; air circulation in room; overall maintenance; friendlier staff
Location: Within walking distance of many major sites - Vatican city, Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps
The location of this hotel is very good and it was probably a lovely hotel in it's day, but overall we were disappointed in the place. The welcome from staff at the front desk was not very warm - they did make the requested arrangements (holding our luggage and arranging for taxi to airport), but just not friendly, warm service. The breakfast buffet was quite good ... lots of choice and plenty of food. The room we had was very stuffy and no fan - maybe turned off for the season, but it was very warm as the curtains had been left open. The beds were the worst part of our stay ... also the pillows were flat and hard. There are water stains on ceilings in some of the common areas of the hotel and the elevators on one side weren't working one morning, so it seems maintenance has been neglected.

Not the best experience

Location is good, but everything else is not so good. The room smells terrible. The carpet doesn't look clean. Don't recommend it.

Comfortable clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Good location. Overall, the best of several hotels stayed in on a recent Italian tour.

Nice hotel near the centre of Rome.

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Its location, a good bus service to the Lepanto metro-station, and its general facilities which - for the most part - were efficiently provided.
Cons: Some method should be found to encourage guests to use the dining room before 9.00pm. Cleaning of bedrooms should be before mid-afternoon.
Location: Southwards, close to the Piazza Cavour, the Tiber and Piazza Navona. Northwards close to the Lepanto metro station. Plenty of good local restaurants
Generally, a very enjoyable stay, though it was a pity that my short afternoon siesta during a very hot week in August was disturbed by room cleaning (the alternative was to forgo this service and leave the room uncleaned). Couldn't the rooms of people staying for several days be cleaned in the morning? Breakfast was often chaotic after 7.45am , with long queues waiting for tables.

Good Cice.

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Close to the area we were visiting.
Cons: Can't think of anything at the moment.
Location: Location was convenient enough for us to visit Vatican City.
Pleasant experience for sure. Can't complain about too much. It was a quick and easy stay. It was very much enjoyable, much more than Madison Hotel that we stayed in a few weeks prior near Termini.

Nice central hotel

Between Vatican and Coliseum. Nice, clean, modern enough. If you aren't planning on spending lots of time in the hotel itself then it's great

Freeway!

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: Location was fine and the breakfast was above average.
Cons: Air conditioning turned on as noise from street was deafening.
Location: A lot of walking to do any thing.
Don't get a room near the street. Unbelievably noisy!

Pros: Courteous day staff evening staff need a course in manners and attitude
Cons: The manners of evening desk staff
Location: Good location
Room was warm went to ask at desk in the evening was told to open window also that the ac was not turned on the desk clerk was very arrogant and condescending and actually turned his back on me. The day staff was very helpful and more than made up for the arrogant and condescending evening man. The housekeeping staff as well as the the dinning room staff were excellent. Generally the building facilities are in need of an facelift.
