Located between vatican city and other point of interests with a bus stop in front of the hotel, make it perfect for those turists who looks for convenience. Walking distance from some piazzas and iconic fountains. Enough space in the rooms. Bathroom should be remodelated

First things first, this property has no air conditioning and should be immediately changed to prevent false advertising. My first room was supposed to have air conditioning, bathtub/shower combo, and street view. It had none of these. I contacted the agent to change the room to one that had these amenities. Danilo was great and was able to change my room to one with a bathtub/shower combo, and a street view, but unfortunately was told there was no air conditioning in the building. Aside from that my stay was great, the staff was amazing. Danilo was very helpful. The breakfast was simple but nice. The building is located in a very convenient location and is within walking distance of many of the main sights.

Concerning the air conditioning, it is too early to switch it on this period, the government of Rome allows the hotels to start the air conditioning at the end of April, also because some other guests are still asking for the heating during the night, our hotel has a centralized system either for the air conditioning and for the heating. I was happy to help and satisfy your requests bout the room. Sincerely

Reasonable property. Large room but very dated. Extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was very poor. Convenient to many areas of Rome. Bed linens were worn and the bed although not completely uncomfortable, is probably due to be replaced soon. Overall it was fine but not rushing back.

A perfect jumping off point to explore Rome. Easily walkable to the Vatican, Vatican Museums, Spanish Steps, Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Villa Borghesi; and with multiple bus stops within a 5 minute walk, we were able to reach our other more distant site seeing destinations easily. The breakfast offered was great to start the day and they have good options for gluten free travellers. All of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. It was a comfortable refuge after busy days of site seeing. We stayed for 8 nights Feb.4- 11, 2024. I would highly recommend the Hotel Diplomatic to anyone pkanning a trip to Rome.

Loved our stay!
The front desk was so kind and friendly! They made our stay comfortable and even ordered a pizza for us in Italian!!:) The breakfast was delicious and they made me a cappuccino every morning-so good! Great location, close to everything yet far enough away from high traffic tourist areas. Would stay here again!

The hotel is well run and maintained. The location in Prati is one of the best with a very busy shopping and dining street filled with locals. You get a true picture of life in Rome!

We stayed in Rome for four days and three nights. Hotel Diplomatic was everything we needed, I read reviews before booking that it was dated. Personally I found it to be authentic, clean and air conditioned. The staff were friendly and helpful, our flight wasn't till the evening, however they were happy to let us relax in their lobby area while we waited for our cab. The location is perfect, in-between Trevi fountain and The Vatican it is walking distance from everything. It has some lovely restaurants all in walking distance, especially Pupina restaurant which is a 2 min walk from the hotel - great food. Great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel!
Overall the stay was excellent and the staff was very friendly and personable. The room is small, but that's very normal for Roam. This is a basic hotel, great location, and just perfect for solo traveler. It would probably be too small for a couple if they have 2 large bags. Great spot!

Very convenient location. Breakfast buffet was quite good. However, bed mattress was very soft amd uneven. Room 105 was a weird layout so avoid it. In general the hotel feels a bit tired and could use some sprucing up. But the location in Prati can’t be beat.

Excellent location, good and simple room to rest while on a touristy holiday. Breakfast is very decent and very kind and helpful staff. It was ok we just needed a room for one night. Location was good but the difference between the pictures and the reality was considerable. Very small room air conditioning did not really work. It served its purpose

We removed the carpet from all the rooms and put the parquet on, some photos still show the carpet. Regarding the size you had a standard room which is the type you booked. We are sorry you did not like it.About the air conditioning, I confirm it is still available even if the summer is over, but we suggest to speak to the reception for any problem, we are here to solve it. I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Diplomatic!! As a solo traveller my room was perfect, queen bed, desk, closet, bathroom with counter space, double shower heads, eco-toilet and bidet. Simple deco which is better than some overdone places I found. On a kind of busy street during rush hour, which makes it super accessible and quiets down at night. It’s close to everything, I was able to stop off my room to drop off my shopping and use the bathroom then head out again. Yes, walls are thin but neighbours were great that I wasn’t bothered. Super clean. Lift is small but I also stayed on the top floor and experienced others using it for ONE floor. I would stay here again and again 😊

My stay at this hotel was great for getting around to see the sights and finding great food options. The staff were friendly and helpful, my only complaint was the beds were a little hard and the rooms our plain and outdated but okay for staying in.

Management was flexible and offered us a different room when first one wasn't what we expected. Nice neighborhood. Marco was a big help. Decent breakfast but had to pay extra for it. Arranged airport transfer for us as well. Garden terrace is internal and could use more upkeep.

I really liked the location of this hotel. It was right next to two bridges that lead to either the Piazza Navona, or the main attractions. Everything was within walkable distance and staff were very kind to me but I also wasn't a fussy guest. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the Vatican and about a 15 minute walk from the Trevi fountain. Would stay again.

The staff was amazing Giancarlo took very good care of us and made sure we were happy. I highly recommend the hotel.
Great restaurant right across the street and around the corner came highly recommended by the staff and we loved it.
Close to the Vatican and we did our pilgrimage to see the ancients of the arts!

Perfect
The hotel is in a perfect location. Quieter than most Rome neighborhoods. Convenient to good restaurants. Breakfasts are good and reasonably priced. Desk clerks are outstanding and always helpful. Breakfast server and maids are very friendly. Our friends had a room facing the street and found it very loud. So request a room like we had -away from the street.

Great location. Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. My room was rather small and looked nothing like the promotional photo. Unfortunately the breakfast was of poor quality.
