Hotel room and service was excellent. Transport into Rome a little tricky if not driving , 135 bus then change at the Metro to Termini. Takes around 1 hour…Not much around / nearby the hotel. Great value for money.

Great stay!
We loved our stay - it was very convenient since we could park at the hotel. We got upgraded and stayed at a cottage instead of a double room that we booked.

Ultimately you get what you pay for. We arrived late and The room we had originally was basic to say the least. After an awful nights sleep as the bed was very hard we were woken very early with tree felling right outside our window. The trunk sections were that close they left shavings on our window and shook the room every time they fell. I went to see the receptionist who was extremely apologetic and couldn’t have been nicer and immediately moved us to a suit across the complex as the work was due for a few days and were we’re stopping a week. As with other reviews the place is old and tired and would benefit from a bit of tlc. However the staff couldn’t have done enough for us including getting plates and cutlery when we bought back lunch to keep meat and cheese in the rooms fridge. Also we discovered the a/c in both rooms only blew hot air but weather was cool at night so kept the window open. Defiantly need a car but only 10 mins drive to junito metro for easy access to Rome centre. Due to tree felling the pool was out of action but I’ve yet to see a review where it is open so bear in mind if it’s important. Also I thought I read there was a restaurant and or bar but there isn’t. Make sure you eat before you get there or be prepared to order take away. Would we stop there again? No but we were looking for a cheap holiday and we not actually there that much so was fine for what we needed.

Decent hotel quite a distance from the city of Rome but very nice and helpful staff. We had a rental car that used to drive to Jonio train station. This station took us direct to Roma Termini- the best terminal to use to get pretty much everywhere including High speed trains. The first room we were given was very basic, nothing exquisite and we were tempted to switch hotels because the pool was closed for ‘winter’- although not advertised. We had to switch rooms due to the strong smell of cigarette smoke. Nevertheless the second room (#32) was better in terms of view, being modernized and overall comfort. This was the room actually shown online. Breakfast was also decent and tasty- croissants, breads, eggs, bacon, etc. But you have to arrive at 7am or you’ll have scanty leftovers

Best one night stay!
Our one night stay to transfer to Venice was comfortable and the staff was excellent. The helped us get to the train station we needed to get to and accommodated our take out pizza meal by ordering it and setting us a place in the breakfast dining area at 8 PM! Their outdoor pool and landscaping added to the relaxation we enjoyed.

Nice hotel with accessible transport to main town.
It is a nice hotel, walking distance to the bus stop. The hotel offered a lift to the nearest train station going to town which is not too far. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast really good and a lot to choose from. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was an enjoyable experience and we did had a lovely time in our short holiday. Thanks Expedia UK, it's such a pleasure to book in holiday with you. Will book again the next time around.

Hotel's fine, but a long way out without transport
If you have no car you have to rely on the sporadic buses. Bus 135 from Tiburtina train station to/from the stop Salaria-Grottazzolina will get you within a 5 min walk from the hotel. But the buses are not regular or particularly frequent, especially on the way back. Allow 90-120 mins to get to/from Rome centre each way - with lots of standing around waiting. The hotel's shuttle bus didn't run at all on any of the 4 days we were there, although they did get a chap to give us a lift in his little car when we were leaving. The 4 bikes they hire out were all broken - brakes dangerous on 2, crank broke on 1 and pedal fell off (and about to fall off on one with dodgy brakes), the 4th had a long-term flat tyre. A taxi from Settebagni station (5mins away) cost 27 Euros so unless you're rich, buses will be your way in and out. Train FL1 runs from Fiumicino airport to Tiburtina, 8 Euros, takes an hour and easier for this hotel than the much-pedalled Leonardo Express.

Somewhat dated, and a long way from Rome
the rooms are big and have free wifi, which is extremely slow. Our bedroom was without air conditioning. ThE staff are very friendly and knowledgable. IT is about an hour to get into central Rome by public transport. Beware Rome is full of Pickpockets. We had three attempts made on us on local transport and in the street. I would urge everybody to leave valuables not needed in the Hotel and get a neck bag for safety.

Good basic 3 star hotel
Some of the decoration is a little bit tired, but cleanliness and service were very good. The breakfast is typical 'continental' type with choice of freshly prepared coffee. All staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Shuttle to train station (Saxa Rubra) was excellent and journey into City is very easy and good value with 24 hour travel pass. On your return bus No.334 stops 100m from hotel. Rooms near the main road can be a bit noisy.

Great place to sleep
It's very far from Rome, and catching the last train out of town can be nerve racking but it's totaling doable just can't do those last min stops if your pushing the time. No late night stores in the area. The hotel itself is the best one I stayed out on my trip around Italy. I loved it and rooms were top notch.

Little retreat on outskirts of Rome
We stayed here to avoid parking and downtown hastles of Rome and the pool. Service was great, shuttle to train was good, buses back were a little cumberson but the ease of taking the train right into Rome and having access to transit with the train ticket was wonderful. Pool was the best as we had 35 degree weather. Buffet was very good

Far away from City Centers but near street hookers
Very hard to find (unless you have GPS). Located in semi-residential, semi-industrial area. Almost on outskirt of the city. Far away from city center but right in the middle of all street hookers (all standing along via Salaria). Room had no heat (they told me it works only 10 pm, although it never worked) so we froze (they hold us to take extra blankets). All rooms smelled like smoke. Nothing special except for the price. I wouldn't stay again.

Less than what you expect
The location is less than convenient; from downtown Rome, a subway followed by regional train followed by bus are required. I was stranded at the deserted nearby bus depot with my wife and 3 children after dark on a Saturday night when the bus we were on went out of service. Attempts to have Eurogarden's night manager arrange a taxi fell on deaf ears. The night manager on duty (Aug 17/2013) refused to arrange a cab on our behalf to pick us up, despite the fact that I provided my name and room number (ie: proof that I was a hotel guest), and only offered the telephone number of a cab company (not very helpful if you are not conversant in Italian). He cut short my protests by hanging up the call. Otherwise, the hotel breakfast is quite decent, the pool is ok. Rooms are a little run-down and not overly clean, but then you get what you pay for in Rome during peak season for 90 Euros/night. Apart from the "no-can-do" attitude of the night manager (falls into the category of "disastrous" or "non-existant where customer service is concerned), our stay at Eurogarden can be characterized as acceptable.

Not the place for everyone
This place was not what I had on mind, the room needed to be updated years ago and the location is a complete pain. I would stay somewhere else. it Might be good if you had a car and where on a budget , but if you want to go out it is not walking distance to anywhere. The staff was friendly and they do have a shuttle to the train.

This was a very nice hotel with a clean, comfortable room. The breakfast was lovely in a nice garden setting. We were driving and did have a little trouble finding it. The location was convenient if you're planning to drive up to Florence or some of the villages in Umbria.

Hotel Eurogarden (Fidene)
Receptionists very friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is very far removed from Rome city. The shuttle from hotel runs only in the morning and only to the Metro station. From there you have to figure out the trains to take to get to the Museums, Vatican, etc. Our check out day was on a Sunday and there was NO shuttle or local train service. We had to pay a taxi to get to the Train Station. (20 euros) In the evening there is nothing within walking distance. If you dont have a car, your train takes you to the Fidene station and you have to arrange for a taxi or bus to get back to your hotel. Very confusing and hard to get around. Too bad because the hotel itself is really remarkable. No dinner is served and no restaurant within walking distance. Menu is for snacks only.

Nice surprise, great bargain!
When we were booking our week-long Rome vacation, we wanted a hotel that was affordable and had easy access to public transportation into the city centre. Hotel Eurogarden was exactly that. The bus stop was a 2-minute walk, and the train station was a 3-5 minute ride from there. A short train / metro ride would take us anywhere in the city we wanted to go - Vatican, Colloseum, you name it. The hotel itself was quiet and well kept - most of the guests appeared to be business travelers, so we didn't see much of them. The pool was clean and refreshing. Room service was decent, and the continental breakfast was fine as well, consisting mainly of cold meats, cheeses, cereal, croissants or toast, juice and coffee. The cappuccino was awesome. Staff spoke decent enough English and were quite helpful. It's a bit far from the airport (30 minutes, 60 Euro cab ride) but the daily rate we got in our package made up for it. We saved enough by using this hotel that we could afford to see more attractions and enjoy some good meals in town.

Perfect for what we wanted
we needed a place where we could rest after a 10 day vacation around Italy. We wanted a pool to relax by and euro garden has a beautiful pool area. Meals are offered through room service but selection is limited. there is one restaurant about 600 meters away but only is open at 8 pm for dinner and a road side place about 200 meters away that closes at 8 pm. they are within walking distance so food options are very limited. the room is very clean and the staff were very helpful to us. We enjoyed our stay
