Rome trip

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: slightly tired facilities
Location: all major tourist attractions and fantastic scenery
Staff very welcoming and helpful, hotel was very comfortable but needed a few decorative improvements, perfect location for visiting all of Rome's major attractions as they are all within a few hundred meters, would use this location again

Colloseum Gem

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: The hotel was close to all amenities and excellent ice-cream at FLOR
Cons: A variety of pillow options on the bed perhaps?
Location: Colloseum is literally across the street. Excellent ice-cream and coffee at FLOR and well priced restaurants within walking distance.
What a great location and picture perfect sunset views on the terrace bar. Hotel Forum was an amazing hotel literally in front of the famous Colloseum and steps from the Metro station. Staff are incredible accommodating and willing to help you with anything you need. Stay at this hotel if you like tradition and beautiful historic views.

Location location location!

Posted Aug 24, 2015
The best thing about this hotel has to be the excellent location opposite the Forum and a 5 min walk to the Colosseum. The roof garden and American bar are the perfect setting for a drink before dinner. The drawback of the location is that there is street noise that lasts well into early hours but of course to be expected in such a central spot.

Very good location for major attractions.

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Central location. Air con
Cons: Breakfast was ok but could have had a bit more choice
Location: Colosseum very close by and the hotel is literally next to the Forum
This is a lovely hotel, the staff are helpful and we would recommend it to friends. We were woken up on our second morning by noise outside the hotel and someone shouting at them to be quiet (in Italian) thats not the hotels fault though. Our room was on the first floor , we never heard any noise from anyone else in the hotel. We stayed with teenage children and had two adjoining rooms that worked very well.

Perfect location

Beautiful hotel, excellent location for all the sights of Rome. Can thoroughly recommend the American Bar on the roof, perfect way to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing whilst watching the sun go down over the ancient forum.

A real gem

Posted Aug 5, 2015
This is undoubtedly the best location of all the hotels I've ever stayed in, in Rome. Within quick walking distance of all the major attractions except for the Vatican. The room exceeded our expectations (family room, with the sleeper couch for the children in a separate, spacious room) and the spacious bathroom was very well equipped. Staff is extremely competent, friendly and helpful, and spoke at least passable English. The only complaint would be that the hairdryer in the bathroom was under par. Otherwise, it was all top notch and at a good price too.

Great Location

The location was great! 10 min walking distance to Colosseum and the Forum is across the street. The hotel itself was beautiful, old world charm. The Roof Garden restaurant was nice overlooking the Forum, but the food wasn't. Very pricy for the quality. Skip the breakfast, much better places in the area to eat. Air conditioning was ok. We had an adjoining room with our kids and their room was miserable. They did supply fans but was still very hot while trying to sleep. Upon check out we were over charged for breakfast and for using the mini bar to store our water. They did correct it but was an issue. So, pay attention to your final bill.

Perfect position but not room advertised

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Location is perfect, breakfast good
Cons: Don't midadvertise rooms, whether it is their fault or Expediasa
Location: Location is perfect, central and couldn't be better
Disappointed that I was not given the room I paid for and asked to change.. I paid extra for adeluxe room as shown on your website but given a room I had already stayed in 2 years ago although I paid extra. They did change the room but only after we stayed in that room for 2 nights so feel tha I have overpaid. We hada welcome drink but bar refused t serve us it one night and other night the reception staff ended up serving it to us. Reception staff were great, bar staff, useless and rude. Very disappointed about being givena room that I could have paid a lot less for.

Next to The Forum

Pros: Great hotel
Location: Next to The Forum. Easy walk to Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, and many of the historic sights.
Beautiful room with marbl bathroom, great location, nice staff recommended good places to eat. Would have been excellent except for problem with the air conditioning in our room. They brought in fans and saved the day.

Easy walking distance to most tourist sights.

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see.
Checking in was easy. We were extremely pleased that the Colosseum was less than a 10 minute stroll away. If you are looking for a hotel that is fairly close to the sights, then this is the one. We did pay more for the hotel than we would have like to, but we were not disappointed. The welcome drink at the American bar on top of the restaurant was a nice surprise. Breakfast was expensive but the views helped make up for that. We didn't find the staff overly friendly which was a surprise based on other reviews. However, our room was pleasant, the WiFi and air conditioning worked well and staff got us a taxi without any problems. We have already recommended this hotel to friends.
