Average hotel but great location

Posted Jun 26, 2017
This hotel is located in a great spot opposite the Forum and that is what you are paying for. The rooms are average and a bit dated. The restaurant and roof top bar offer great views which bumps up the price.

A wonderful hotel close to so many of Rome's main attractions. Staff members were quite accommodating and professional.

Awesome hotel in the Heart of Rome

Posted May 22, 2017
We had three windows in our room that overlooked the old historic Forum and the Collisum, which was incredible. The Hotel itself had old world charm with wood floors, wood staircases, and very comfy room. This hotel was great. Staff was top rate, and willing to help in any way. I would recommend this to anyone and will stay at this hotel again.

Hotel ideal for Colesseum area.

Lovely Italian hotel overlooks the Forum and roof top bar is worth the high prices. Rooms are small but tasteful, desk staff could be more helpful and friendly - wouldn't cost anything - ! Still enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant Hotel in Great Location

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Location. Staff. Views. Cleanliness
Cons: Buffet breakfast is Italian style more than sufficient but a little pricy at 18 Euros. Still worth it for the view and experience in warm weather
Location: Perfect. Easy walk to Forum, Coliseum, San Pietro in Vincoli. 15-20 minute walk to Trevi fountain, Pantheon.
Location, location, location. This is a very pleasant hotel in simply a great location. The Roman Forum literally is located out the front door of the hotel and the Coliseum is 2 blocks away. Over a 20 year period I have stayed at this hotel several times for business meetings and on vacation, including this most recent visit in April 2017. The rooms are typical of an older style Italian hotel meaning not huge but more than adequate ( with all of Rome at your feet who is going to spend a lot of time in the room anyway!). The rooms are clean and all of the staff are very pleasant and helpful ( the breakfast staff are talkative and all smiles, the front desk staff gave us a fantastic local restaurant recommendation and made a reservation at a different one for another night). The breakfast area is great. Get a coffee and some food and look over the Roman Forum from this 5th floor perch. In warm weather this enclosed window area is opened up for a wonderful experience. Also a must is a sunset visit to the small open air American Bar on the roof. Hand crafted drinks while watching the sun set over the Palantine and Capitoline hills. Memorable!

Pros: Location friendly helpful staff.
Cons: A little updating
Location: Great location within walking distance most major tourist attractions
My husband and I had a very good holiday in Rome. The hotel is in a great location, directly opposite to the Forum, within walking distance of most other tourist attractions. The hotel may be a little dated but I loved it,

Hotel Forum in Rome

Posted Mar 19, 2017 on Hotels
A nice hotel located in the very center of the old city and very close to the main Roman archeological sites. Walking distance (if you like to walk) from all the other sites of interest and shopping areas. The view from the restaurant is exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. A bit noisy at times, mattresses need some updating. I would happily return to this hotel on a future visit to Rome
