Pleasant Hotel in Great Location

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Location. Staff. Views. Cleanliness
Cons: Buffet breakfast is Italian style more than sufficient but a little pricy at 18 Euros. Still worth it for the view and experience in warm weather
Location: Perfect. Easy walk to Forum, Coliseum, San Pietro in Vincoli. 15-20 minute walk to Trevi fountain, Pantheon.
Location, location, location. This is a very pleasant hotel in simply a great location. The Roman Forum literally is located out the front door of the hotel and the Coliseum is 2 blocks away. Over a 20 year period I have stayed at this hotel several times for business meetings and on vacation, including this most recent visit in April 2017. The rooms are typical of an older style Italian hotel meaning not huge but more than adequate ( with all of Rome at your feet who is going to spend a lot of time in the room anyway!). The rooms are clean and all of the staff are very pleasant and helpful ( the breakfast staff are talkative and all smiles, the front desk staff gave us a fantastic local restaurant recommendation and made a reservation at a different one for another night). The breakfast area is great. Get a coffee and some food and look over the Roman Forum from this 5th floor perch. In warm weather this enclosed window area is opened up for a wonderful experience. Also a must is a sunset visit to the small open air American Bar on the roof. Hand crafted drinks while watching the sun set over the Palantine and Capitoline hills. Memorable!

Pros: Location friendly helpful staff.
Cons: A little updating
Location: Great location within walking distance most major tourist attractions
My husband and I had a very good holiday in Rome. The hotel is in a great location, directly opposite to the Forum, within walking distance of most other tourist attractions. The hotel may be a little dated but I loved it,

Couldn't ask for a better location in Ancient Rome

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location! Service = excellent, the hotel is very clean with normal amenities +. They can arrange transport to/from airport.
Cons: should provide air conditioning, mini fridge, LATTE for coffee. body lotion would be nice., and a working room safe. none of these were in the room.
Location: The Hotel Is across the st. from the Forum, close to Coliseum, Metro stop and Vittoriana. Ruins are all around. The main train station is closeby
Hotel Forum is so perfectly located, at the foot of the Forum and within walking distance of almost all of the Ancient wonders and sites of Rome. The Hotel staff is excellent, very service-oriented, very willing and able to assist with any questions and tips about how to get around the city, good places to eat, and where to stock up on fruit, wine., Perroni, etc for the hotel room and thereby avoid the tourist prices at the rooftop bar. Friends of ours recommended this Hotel as they'd stayed there when in Rome, and we HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay near the ancient Roman sites.

Pleasant hotel with superb location

Posted Mar 14, 2017
Pros: Location Comfort
Cons: Ac in the room
Location: Walking to the most important sites in Rome
Right at the historical heart of Rome, just across the Roman Forum and a few minute walk to the Colosseum and other interesting sites. Staff are friendly. The room was spacious (rare in Rome) and beautifully furnished with old/traditional style, and very clean and the bed was comfortable. However, AC wasn't working properly at times. I and my husband had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers looking for comfort in Rome.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Location and views from the top floor restaurant
Though somewhat dated, this hotel is in one of the most amazing locations in the city. Staff were helpful, room was adequate and the whole place has a charm of its own. Do not come here if you want the latest up to date decor or snazzy gizmos.

Rome PUNISHES you for Driving

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Hotel was great! Loved the Staff, Location and Amenities. The DOWN side is that 12 Months later the city of Rome send you a bill and since i was 15 day late in seeing it! It cost me $130 EUROS. Since communicating with the city would be expensive i paid it. Even though the hotel had me fill out a form that they mailed in to Rome so i wouldn't be punished! The road "Vai Tor de' Conti" is "Limited Traffic Zone."

View the Forum ruins from your breakfast.

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Closeness to the ruins.
Cons: It could use a few upgrade.
Location: Roman history at your doorstep.
Closest to the Forum. Walk across the street and step back in time. Walk 2 blocks and you at the Colloseum. Gracious staff. Good restaurants within a block or two.
