Great location, friendly staff

Posted Jan 5, 2016
Pros: Location -- an easy walk to almost anywhere in downtown Rome. We used the sauna and steam rooms regularly. The desk staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: The bathroom was adequate, but the overhead shower had consistently poor water pressure. Drinks in the bar were significantly overpriced.
Location: Great restaurants and markets within a few minutes.
We stayed at Hotel Indigo for 6 nights, from Christmas until New Year's Eve. The room itself was excellent, nicely designed, and comfortable.

Great place to stay in Rome!

Posted Nov 21, 2015
Pros: Location, comfort, friendly and efficient staff.
Location: Close (walking distance)to the Vatican, and Vatican Museum, the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and English Poets Museum, other places reached by tourist bus.
This is a very nicely modernised hotel in a traditional part of Rome. Within walking distance of a number of major destinations (especially the Vatican, Pantheon, Spanish Steps) and easily accessible for the buses to take you to the more distant ones. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, as well as being very efficient. We fully intend to come back and stay again at Hotel Indigo.

Very comfortable and friendly hotel

Posted Nov 1, 2015
The friendly staff gave a warm welcome and the hotel is very comfortable with all the facilities you might need. It is within easy walking distance to all the main tourist areas and I found that it was relatively inexpensive to get a taxi back at the end of a day's walking. The room was immaculately turned down and clean and the small spa facility was perfect for a quick relax before going out for the evening. Would certainly stay here again!

Lovely hotel in a pretty part of Rome

Posted Oct 24, 2015
Beautiful hotel situated in a very pretty part of Rome, with easy access to all the main tourist sites. Room was lovely, with an extremely comfortable and roomy bed. Surprisingly quiet despite the hotel's central location. Stylishly decorated. Very helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely visit again.

Attentiveness and courtesy, especially by Irene at the reception desk, as well as at the coctail area, was outstanding. Bathroom towels should be updated.

Not bad, but eat somewhere else.

Posted Oct 16, 2015
After making reservations for the "deluxe" room for my honeymoon. I was suprised to find the breakfast was not included. The continential breakfase was and additional 15 euros and the "american" breakfast which adds scrambled eggs and bacon costs 25 Euros. Drinks and meals in general were very overpriced compared to other restraunts around town. The rooftop cafe is very nice and has a good view of the vatican dome which is a only a 10 minute walk away.

Dear Guest Sorry for the problem with the breakfast but it is written in Expedia website if it is included in the rates. We offer in add cheese, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, steamed vegetables, cereals, yoghurt, fruit juices, freshly squeezed orange juice. Regarding the prices at the restaurant they are in line with the others nearby. Regards. A. Geminiani,GM

Es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Bad war allerdings im Standardzimmer nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel entsprechend.

Very Good Experience

Posted Oct 7, 2015 on Hotels
Booked two nights in Rome with my fiance`. I picked this hotel despite the price, because I wanted a nicer place and a good location for sightseeing to close out our European vacation. The staff was excellent and spoke English without a hitch (responsive to needs, directions, made dinner reservations, call a taxi....etc.). I'm told the hotel room is big for Rome, but it's still pretty small. We stayed in the standard room and the bed was king size. View was of the street. Bathroom is small but manageable. Rooms were not noisy. Everything was very clean. the View from the rooftop restaurant was excellent, although the prices are pretty steep for a drink or food. From this hotel we were able to walk to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon without any crazy effort. Overall it was a very good experience, but for what we paid (over $600 per night) I was expecting a little more. 4- stars for a nice hotel.

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to share with us your good feedback . I am happy you appreciated our location, close to all major attractions of Rome and our great staff. In addition I am happy that you appreciated our rooms unless, in your opinion, they were small. I would like to underline that the Hotel Indigo Rome-St. George is housed by a beautiful 15th century building which gives the hotel great character and charm, however, due to Italian regulations, we are unable to modify the shape or the size of any rooms and this is one of the reasons why some of them not provide generous space. I'm sorry if you found that the prices of our Roof Top Restaurant are excessive, but I can guarantee that they are in line with the prices of the hotels of equal level nearby We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Close to most.

Pros: Quite street was a plus and front desk was remarkably helpful to get me a taxi at 0345 am to go to airport. If you can stand the price it's a great.
Cons: Hamburger or breakfast, 20 Euros
Location: Train Station and Borghese museum are a little far away by foot but 10 to 15 euros by cab
This hotel is just far enough to get away from the hustle of Rome, just a 15 minute walk to Vatican and Pantheon, 10 minutes to Piazza Navona and Piazza Farnese and a 35 minute walk to Colosseum but you must know that everywhere in Rome the roads are paved with cobble stones making it a little harder to walk. We are in our sixties and walked until we dropped then grabbed a cab to get back to the hotel. The Hotel staff and room were great and the sites were greater and I can't think of anything else to review about the hotel.
