Neighborhood Feel Yet Still Close to City Center

I didn't know what to expect for my first time in Italy, but we are not a big fan of overly touristy areas, but still enjoy the comfort of knowing the locals will speak English. We chose Hotel Indigo because it was the highest rated (by users) 5 Star hotel on Expedia. It lived up to all of the reviews. I would suggest it is more boutique than it is luxury and you see the same staff everyday, we were a well acquainted by the end. The location was perfect because it fit in a neighborhood wedged between Vatacian City, the Tigre River And Cory Center. Every tourist site was within a leisurely 20 min walk. Nothing but good things to say about the stay.

Right in the center of all the good things to see

The staff made the stay fabulous. Ricardo, Maria and Antonio are the best we have ever encoutered.

Well run hotel. English speaking staff who are lovely and helpful. Nice roof top bar and luncheon restaurant. Bathroom to small and shower poorly designed so entire bathroom floor gets wet. Small amount of closet hanging space. Nice touch to have smart phone available with Rome info and maps.

great hotel, quiet street close to all the action

Wonderful property with location near piazza navona / campo de fiori, central and easily walkable to all sights in Rome, but on a quiet street. Was recommended to us by a friend and very glad we took his advice. Renovated, modern, sizable rooms and bathrooms, beautiful common areas - breakfast buffet was very nice and served outside on the courtyard. Value for the rate we paid was great - we took a superior room for the majority of the stay but had a standard room for 1 night because we messed up our dates - it would have been fine from a size perspective as well. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We travel through Rome regularly and will stay at Hotel Indigo - St George again.

A nice stay in indigo.

The hotel is great and the receptionist is up to standard. The hotel room is cosy and clean enough. But in my room, the shower room needs improving especially with equipment. Some of it is torn away.

Nice all around, air conditioning questionable...

This hotel was very good all around. Great service. Solid breakfast in their beautiful courtyard. Perfect location. Only issue for us was the air conditioning was weak... while cooler than the outdoor temp, it never got the room down past what felt like 76 fahrenheit (not that you can tell because it was a cheap thermostat with no read of the current temp). I have had this problem with many hotels in Europe that are "air-conditioned" - on a 90 degree day in Rome it just didn't cut it for us... even the common hotel spaces were too warm.

Great location, Spa, and buffet!

Beautiful hotel with a great location. Wonderful on all accounts except for the air conditioning which as in most hotels in Italy, didn't work well. Wonderful breakfast buffet and a fantastic Roman Spa with Hydrotherapy, steam and sauna. Would book again
