The place is in a supreme location, close to the buses and trains and within walking distance (if you don't mind waking quite a bit) to major tourist attractions. The hotel is on the 3rd and 6th floors, but there is an elevator. There is a decent restaurant downstairs. The breakfast is good -- not huge or fancy -- but substantial with some fresh rolls, ham, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, tarts, yogurt, etc. Coffee (tea also) is good -- you can have a latte or any other kind of coffee you wish. The room was old-fashioned in its looks (on the 3rd floor because the 6th floor is modern but has less traditional atmosphere) and very clean. The blanket was thin but it was hot at the end of Sept. We had one full bed and one twin-sized bed. Perfect for the two of us! The staff was very nice. The view is of a building with windows -- not sweet or pretty -- but it is really cool; we felt we were in Rome indeed. The only unpleasant thing that happened was the fact that the room was not ready at 2:00 pm as promised. We had to wait till 7:00 pm! I was exhausted waiting. However, they did give us some perks as a compensation -- very late check out on the last day and a couple of other things to make up for our discomfort on day 1. The Internet is not great in the evening when everyone is using it, but it is good early in the morning. Overall, it is a solid 4 out of 5 points for us. I would come back but would call a day ahead to make sure the room is waiting for me. Good experience overall!
