I stayed at Hotel Saint John at the beginning and end of my trip. The hotel was quiet and in a nice area, with lots of transportation options. The staff was helpful.

I would rate my stay average. Room was tight like most European centers, that's alright. good bed. lack of power plugs near bed. But main problem's were really the clogged sink in the bathroom and the shower, that would pour really cold water for about 3 seconds each 40 seconds. Really unpleasant. Good staff. However, interphone to reception was always ringing busy. I complained and it kept happening anyway.

Loved that it was walking distance to the Colosseum. The staff was great. We got a welcome drink on the first day and their breakfast buffet was great. When my husband left his phone there by accident, the staff went above and beyond to help us get it shipped back to us - all the way from Rome to Florida, USA. We really are glad we stayed there.

This hotel is lacklustre for a 4 star hotel. The room is small and the bathroom is even worse. The shower was so tiny you can barely move. The toilet is directly across from the bidet and if you’re tall your knees touch it when you sit which is weird. I would not stay at this hotel again when I visit Rome
