Thank you for a lovely stay!
All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were always happy to go the extra step when we asked. The hotel was in as good a condition as I would expect considering how much we paid and the room was clean. A bit of a walk to most of the major sites but close to the Vatican and castello, and served well by buses. Would definitely stay again! Grazie mille a voi all’albergo per il vostro servizio.

The staff were so friendly, knowledgable and welcoming they really made you feel comfortable. The hotel is a little dated but lovely, clean and homely!

Location is very good. Near vatican. You can reach good places by walk. Check if your room is in the main building. If not breakfast is not included and you have to go main building and pay. But receptionists were very nice and they did not nıt let us the pay breakfast because we thought breakfast included. Also wifi has not a good reception in the annex building. Bad looks like large double but actually two small beds just put together with sheet. Make sure you have real large bed.

Convenient, friendly and reasonably priced.
Stayed in the annex building. Room was clean and had everything that was advertised. Service was excellent, the staff were very freindly and helpful. Only downsides were the bed was hard & not very comfortable and the TV was very small.

Overall I wouldn't stay here ever again, room was old and had dirty walls and bed sheets. Bathroom was descent but the sheets weren't even replaced every day they were just remade by the housekeeping. It was cheap and good location for the vatican and other tourist locations , those were the only positives. We didn't even stay in the actual hotel they walked us out of it and into a different building down the street, which I thought was weird. If you prefer cost over comfort then this is the place for you and oh yeah there was a weird sound like running water leaking through pipes in the walls throughout the night so it wasn't easy to fall asleep.

Very Basic, Dirty Rooms but Good Location
Location was excellent - most attractions are a 15-20 minute walk max. Very safe although, all of Rome seemed safe with very few homeless people and very friendly locals. Hotel Staff - very friendly, helpful with excellent English The above are probably the only good things about this hotel. Room and Hotel - very dated, dirty and the beds are 2 twins pushed together. Extremely uncomfortable with rock solid pillows. I did not sleep well for 3 nights. The rooms are certainly more 2 than 3 stars with walls having dirt smeared over them, toilet flush not working correctly and bed clothes made from that awful prickly, itchy material. Please note: we stayed in the annex across the street from the actual hotel.

we had a very nice time in Rome, the hotel is located super central but in a fairly quiet street so it wasn't noisy! everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I'll consider staying there next time I'm in Rome

Stinky bathroom
We stayed in some residential building where they have some additional overflow rooms. The rooms was dated and the bathroom was extremely smelly with mould and no proper ventilation. The stink from the drains was really unpleasant.

Worth the price!
Good price for the area. Within walking distance to everything. Receptionist was very nice and the bellboy very helpful. The didn't have room service one night but the front desk made it up to us with a free breakfast. I would book again.Thanks again!

They don't tell you that your room is in another building down the street so wait to bring your luggage until you know where you are going. Parking is scarce and or expensive. Called for room service but was told it was not working. Otherwise it was worth the price.

Location is just perfect, few minutes walking to Vatican, walking distance to everything. We stayed in new angel which is different building across the street from the main one. The room is not well maintained, shower glass is broken and changed to a curtain, water in shower not going down properly. You have fridge with complimentary water and small kettle for making tea or coffee. The elevator just awesome! But not for claustrophobic :)

Lovely staff who gave great Recommendations for dinner restaurant's. Amazing location close to the Vatican and other landmarks. The only down side was our shower cubical was broken and instead of a new door was repaired with a shower curtain which did not stop the floor getting wet and no mat to absorb the water so had to sacrifice one of our towels. Walls very thin sand you can hear other guests conversations.

Excellent location, 10 minute walk from The Vatican. We were in the separate building which was fine, just a quick walk back for the excellent breakfast every morning. Shower was a little small but it wasn't a major problem. Would definitely stay again for any future trips to Rome

I’m trying Trivago
After a 20 hour trip from Florida to Rome, we arrive at the hotel and they tell us that they had a problem with the room. They would not be specific and say what is was, just that they are waiting on repairmen. When we asked where we would be staying, they told us they made arrangements for us at another hotel. A mile away. They paid for a cab to take us there. I called my hotel and asked if we could just stay there the second night, because then we had to leave, pack up and go back to the santangelo. So we cut our trip short to the Vatican and packed up and got a cab and left to go to the sant Angelo. When we got there, we asked if the room had been repaired. The counter manager advised us that they had overbooked. I can understand that happening, but how about a phone call or an email? We were brought to a room in a second building down the street, quite run down from the main hotel-paint chipping, floors needing to be swept, etc and left on the dirst floor hotel. About 1am we were awakened by the band coming from the restaurant on the block. This lasted until about 230am. We called the front desk and asked them if they could do anything, they said they couldn’t make them lower the music.This was the crappiest hotel management I have seen in a long time. Lying to us, failing to contact us, what I consider a bait and switch room- because they looked like nothing on their website, gave us the run around about the room, we had 2 days in Rome ruined because of all the moving

I know you can’t expect too much from a three star hotel, but there are some basics that should be covered and maintained. The staff at this hotel are AMAZING, and do go out of their way to assist you. However the hotel itself is dated and doesn’t feel very secure at night time. We had a flooding shower into the bathroom, a cracked sink, and a television that barely worked. The bed was less than comfortable but the linen clean.

Old world feels = new world fails
Room wasn’t ready when we got there a few min before 2. We were able to leave our luggage while we headed out for a tour of the colosseum. When we returned that night, we were brought to a separate building, verbally given a key code password (which should’ve also been provided in writing) & brought up a tiny elevator w/ 2 swinging doors (difficult to open when getting in with luggage or items in your hand!) to our floor. The light was flickering in the bulb, the door to our corridor was difficult to open, the rug in our hallway was stained. The worst part was the key they gave us didn’t open the door, so the porter went back to the original building while we were waiting. He came back 15 min later (& even told us he stopped to help other ppl). The room itself wasn’t great— small, tv didn’t work, saw a small cockroach in the bathroom, bed very uncomfortable. The next night, after exploring the city, we returned to find that our key didn’t work. We went to the original hotel building & told the front desk that. Apparently they changed the locks & didn’t think to wait until we checked out or at least tell us. Complimentary food wasn’t good, but can’t really complain Bc it was free. Oh, & the first night we couldn’t find our hotel building entrance, so we went to the main hotel building, which was locked, & buzzed reception. No one came. We were told it was 24hrs. We voiced our concerns upon checking out, but they didn’t seem to care.

Hotel is in a good location close to famous places. Staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast. Cannot complain here. But the hotel itself is in big need of renovation. The room was tiny and very shabby looking. The bathroom was old. Cracked tiles on the floor. Very thin walls.
