I would save my puke on something else, this is so bad that it is unpukeable. Cannot imagine who gave this a 4star rating. There is paint peeling from the walls and ceiling, flooring is distorted due to water damage. Bed and blanket covers were dusty. The room had strong smell of cigarette smoke. The tiles in the common areas were all cracked and seemed like we were in a real historic Rome building to give us the experience. Walls were thin and we could hear someone coughing all through the night. Street noise, especially during the night was super audible. Wonder what the rating system even means with all these issues.

This is at best a 2* hotel. The room is pretty old with peeled off wall paper and chipped paint. The walls are paper thin as I was hearing every person who flushed a toilet in the rooms on top or next to mine, not to mentioned anyone opening or closing doors. Breakfast is fine but not that good. 2 redeeming qualities are the good staff and the proximity to Roma Termini. I would not go back there nor would I recommend it.

Shockingly old & unkept. Not impressed with the disgusting wallpaper that's peeling away, damaged walls and not even a coffee machine. Expensive but beyond ordinary. Staff were great!

a 3 days weekday getaway in Italy, ok stay here
The hotel has some issues on hardware that makes it hard to believe it is 4 star. We had noise problems and broken socket (and TV wire broken). However, the services provided by the staffs and managers are excellent. I would hope they upgrade the hardware soon (probably 2 stars), but with excellent services and reasonable Italian breakfast, the overall is 3 starts. It is also very close to the main station.

The room was very spacious but was a little worn down. There isn’t much in the local area so be prepared for a lot of walking or paying for a taxi to get to the main areas in Rome. Overall it was an okay stay.

Service was excellent, breakfast buffet had a variety, walking distance to Leaning Tower of Pisa and safe. Only no elevator and we were in the Attic room but help given to carry your lugguage.

Villafranca in Roma
The hotel is clean and the staff is extremely helpful. The room was tiny, but had all I needed and they provide a complete free breakfast.

Very professional front desk staff Breakfast is great, buffet with many choices Room had a living room, and kitchen area, 2 safe deposit boxes Bathroom has a good size, comfortable Shower is kind of small A/C remote control is too complicated A/C wasn't cooling the last night of our stay. They offered to send a guy to check, but it was too late, some of us were sleeping already Desktop and printer at lobby weren't working who knows for how long

Nice Hotel
This hotel was pretty and had the best breakfast of our stay in Italy of 2 weeks. The rooms were fine and I even had room on the sink to place my things without them falling into the sink. This hotel had charm but still felt spacious. It overlooks a street in Rome. The front desk staff were helpful and nice. They let us keep our luggage there after we checked out for free while we continued to tour the city. This hotel was a good walking distance from some of the main sites to see so be ready to walk.

We loved the Villa Franca, stayed 3 nights, the staff was excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the location is perfect, close to Termini Station, close to the metro, really good restaurants near by, pharmacy is one block away, there’s a grocery store one block away. Next time we are in Rome, we would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

This Stay Was Not One I Would Repeat
This booking did not impress as a 4 star hotel by any stretch. Very dated, very basic. A 3-star rating in our opinion, would be more accurate. It was clear a lot of updates done on what is an old hotel. Still, our room was not impressive & lacked a 4-star level of comfort. The bed was not comfortable. Things like a coffee maker, kettle, face cloth were available but had to be requested thru the front desk. Although there appeared to be a number of English-speaking clients, no English channels were offered on the television, which would have been nice. Breakfast offerings were self-serve and certainly adequate. We walked the area in which it was located. There was broken glass and garbage on the sidewalks, which is in no way a reflection of this hotel but certainly something to be aware of when booking

Good stay in the heart of Rome
Very convenient, just 10 minutes walk from Termini Station. Very professional staff, in particular Serena. A good breakfast, not exceptional but worthwhile.

It was a good stay wished the air conditioning could had been a little more manejable you don’t have much control, my mini fridge did not work at all. Would of been nice as Rome was so hot !!

Very good choice
Hotel is in a very good location and walkable distance to sights and train station. Room decoration could have been a bit more modern and a little more variety for the breakfast buffet but overall very clean, good bed mattress and staff were very accommodating to any requests we had. Would definitely come back as we enjoyed our stay and slept well!

Friendly place
Within walking distance of Roma Termini (5 blocks) and 1 block from metro. Staff directed us to several very good local restaurants. Very good breakfast and nice bar area.

Nice Hotel, Terrible Bed
We booked a superior room. The service at the front desk was great, everything was clean and the room was good size. The balcony was small and the room only came with one chair so we couldn't sit outside together. The hotel is situated on a small street so the noise level is relatively low. The location is OK, 10 minute walk to the train station, but a bit far from all the tourist attractions. The breakfast was not great. We don't care for Italian breakfast to begin with but most of the other places we stayed on this trip had sliced fruit and a better selection of meats and cheeses. We would not stay here again based solely on the bed. It was hard and lumpy which made for a terrible nights sleep. The worst bed we slept in during our trip around Italy where we stayed in ten different hotels.
