Cheap safe hotel in a convienient locacation

Posted Jan 20, 2017
Great experience, was a little hesitant on booking a $30/night hotel in Italy but this was great. I arrived around 11:30 pm and couldn't figure out how to get in the front door, the little restaurant next door saw us and the owner came out with keys, showed us our room, and gave us a map and showed walking distances to some of the main attractions. I would stay here again

Good inexpensive accommodation

Posted Dec 25, 2016
Pros: Just great value for money. We had the very good fortune to have Pinot as our inn-keeper, Rome's hidden gem!
Cons: To be able to plan for the following day, a reading lamp by the bed would have been good. I would suggest taking your own.
Location: We were worried about the location initially, but it was fine. Good inexpensive restaurants nearby, large supermarket for wine & snacks.
Independence Square Inn was a terrific base to explore Rome. Close to the Termini rail station, with public transport stops nearby. Easy access to central Rome from here. We got a very good deal. Shared toilet facilities, but that was no problem. They were kept clean at all times. The room was quite large, in good order, and was set up as requested with 2 single beds, Father & son sharing a room. It was well maintained and was as the website photograph. Often an hotel will only photograph their best room. If you want to spend all day in your hotel then not for you, but, when in Rome, why would you? Breakfast was standard European fare, served up by the ever-cheerful Pinot. Cappuccino, toast & jam or croissants, enough to set you up for the morning. At breakfast, if asked, Pinot will suggest an manageable itinerary for your day, taking in the "must see", and tell you which buses to take, and where to get off, clearly marked on a map by him. He also advised us on where not to go & to beware of pick-pockets. All the information he gave us was relevant & correct. What a great guy! I will remember our stay with great affection.

Nice hotel very close to Termini station

Posted Dec 23, 2016
Pros: Cleanliness, budget, and closelyness to main station
Location: Just keep walking west and whole of Ancient Rome can be walked through, almost! I walked up to Vatican to say hello to The Pope, he was busy though.
Only problem is no sign post on the door so must check the corner store to track the owner. Also give them a call on your probable arrival timings. You can be comfortable once you met the owner and later housekeeping Incharge. Rest assured.

Basic but perfect for a long weekend. Staff couldn't be friendlier & more helpful. So kind bringing breakfast to our room and answering all our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Central location for right price

Posted Dec 10, 2016
Pros: Very clean big room. Central location, quiet and safe neighborhood. Very nice and friendly staff
Location: Close to Termini station and Conad supermarket
The Inn consists couple of rooms placed on two floors of residential building. Owner of the hotel has restaurant on the ground floor and let us in at 10 PM. Our room 202 was big, it has double bed, wardrobe, table and one chair. Rest of in facilities were in the shared bathroom. Breakfast was basic (coffee, yogurt, toast with jam). Receptionist Pino is very friendly person, he gave us the map and all required information about the city and traffic. Conad supermarket is 100 meters away.

Location: Sort of near Rome termini about 15 blocks
Its hard to find it. Since they dont even have a sign or the name of the hotel in front of the building. No receptionist ...They charge €5 per night for a/c and €3.50 per person a day for taxes or w.e the excuse is. Breakfast is not included so €3.50 more. The room smells horrible really old and ugly!

Dear guest we are located in the historic centre of the city, there is no way to put outside a sign las vegas style, rome is rome because there is a strictly regulations about the look of the city. Do you image rome with a sign for each store, restaurant, bar, hotel, office, agency... however you have the address search for the street and than for the number, if you have a map it's easy otherwise could be a bit difficult, likenfor all places. In October average temperature is 20 Celsius degree, no need of aircon, safe energy don't waste our planet. When you booked you choosed the room only option (cheaper).
