This is in a great location walkable to just about everything. The host was really good. He knows all the places to go and how to get there. Great guy. The only adverse comment is the shower! We were in room 3 and the shower is minuscule, seriously. Plus the door didn’t seal and the floor was awash every day. Had to mop it up with towels. Other than that no complaints.

A lovely guesthouse for a stay in Rome if you don't want to be in the city centre. Still plenty of places to eat nearby (recommendations provided upon check-in) and convenient public transport available. Elevator on site which is a blessing for travellers with large bags!

Would stay again.
Location very convent to Vatican, castle San Angelo, and bus stops.. Breakfast was good. Bus Shuttle stop from airport was around the corner. Would definitely stay there again.

solid choice; far preferred to staying by station
Great budget choice close to the Vatican and a reasonable walk to all the major sites. Staff is very nice. Entrance and room have that authentic Italian charm. Some tasty and reasonably priced food options a block away, and the train is a pleasant walk too.

The breakfast is suck. Serve you cold coffee. Look like coffee keep in fridge and just warm it up in the hot plate,its so dark and cold .Only bread and jam serve no egg.I won't recommend to any this hotel.

Great place if you get the right room
Everything was decent except for the it was narrow a bit dungeon-like, as the window was directed inside of the building making it super dark. I have seen other rooms and they were very nice, spacious and with lots of day light, so DO stayin Marta's Guest House but make sure you don't get the darkroom. The staff was really pleasant and helpful.

Nice for a few days in rome
Good for the price, easy to get to most tourist spots. Only thing is they asked that the air conditioning not be turned below 25 degrees or the power would cut out so room was a bit warm for us.

Marta Guest House
Very nice hotel near Vatican. Room was spacious and clean. The air conditioner worked well - a little too well one night. I would have liked more choices for breakfast since there was only yogurt and toast with juice or coffee. The staff was very helpful. I would stay here again.

Central Rome Gem
Very central Roman Guest House - I had a previously bad experience in one so was wary but this was excellent. I had a very quiet room which had plenty of storage and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but you were free to have as much or little as required - Marta came in for a chat with her guests most mornings. Keys were supplied to enable easy access to the building. Everyone at the guest house made you feel welcome. Clean towels regularly supplied and a bathroom, including shower, available at small sitting room.

Central Location next to Shuttle Bus Stop
Booked Last second and what a find, right next to the shuttle bus stop and central to everything if you want to walk. some really nice resturants recommended by the guest house close by. Staff really friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is handy and there is a supermarket across the road. All in all its a suberb Guest house that we will be going back to every time.

great place to stay; convenient location for late
The reason why I chose the guest house was because I was arriving late and I refused to wander the streets around Rome's Termini station at night. Thankfully and conveniently the SIT bus service has a Vatican drop off just around the corner from this guest house. It may be a bit tricky to find. It's on the first floor of what may look like a government office or renaissance palace. But it really is less than 5 minute walk from that bus stop. Within Rome that makes it conveniently located as well. The rooms were very nice and quite spacious. WiFi worked well. Breakfast is included but at a bar nearby.

Loved this place! The staff are all helpful and super nice especially Lordes she helped us a lot! They know Spanish, Italian and perfect english. We were lucky to find a parking spot right infront of the building it was 4€ for 8 hours and free on Sunday which is much cheaper than the parking garages that charge 18-25€ a day. We left our keys and money with the staff for one the all day tours they were happy to help. The rooms are small but it was good for us it was clean and we had wifi and breakfast included which is down the street you get a pastry and coffee. The location was perfect we walked everywhere! Check google maps so you can see how close you are we even walked to the colosseum! Highly recommend this spot! I will fefj

Well located
Excellent location - about ten minutes walk from Vatican. All the main attractions apart from the Colosseum were within relatively easy walking distance. Reception staff were helpful and spoke English.

absolutely brilliant location for getting around Rome on foot, 10mins to the vatican, 10 mins to the spanish steps, 50 or so to the Colloseum (but loads of public transport options if you don't fancy the walk (Piazza navone and Pantheon on the way though). Really nice, helpful and friendly staff, and for the centre of rome a pretty quiet, safe location. The rooms are fairly basic and the bathroom was on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable and a really good option for anyone on a bit of a budget.

The hotel is in great location and they have a very knowledgeable staff--Ovidio! The only down side is that the shower room was slight clogged but it still flows. Just take some times to drain all the water.

Great Room for a Great Price in the Right Location
The room was simple but provided all the necessities. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was a little challenging having to go to the lobby area for WiFi, but I was very grateful to have access to a good connection at the building. The location is superb for exploring the Vatican as well as the City Center. I would recommend the room to someone who is looking for a simple and cheap yet clean and comfortable place to stay while exploring around the Vatican.

Great HOTEL .... love every minute of my stay
This Hotel is super nice. They rooms are cleand and good size. The staff is super helpful and the neighborhood is nice and beautifulo. The building where the hotel is located is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. The Hotel is very close to the Vatican and close to many things. For one euro you can take a bus to any place in Rome and the bus station is just at the coner of the hotel. LOVE LOVE MARTA GUESS HOUSE >>>> I WILL BE BACK.

Quiet and Clean - No Internet
This is a bed and breakfast establishment which is quiet, clean, and only a few minutes away from the Vatican. We then took a cab to the Trevi Fountain and it was not expensive at all. I was disappointed to learn that there was not, in fact, wireless internet since this was one of my main criteria, aside from the private bathroom. Even though the bathroom was small and outdated, it was clean, which is basically all I need. The bed was comfortable enough, and I slept very well. Still, like many bed and breakfasts, there is no chain or deadbolt on the door as there is in hotels. I lined up the chairs in front of the door, but it was actually safe and quiet. I would definitely recommend it, as you will be hard pressed to find a place this cheap that's clean and has a private bathroom.

Ci dispiace, però ha scelto lei la tipologia di camera, per qualche euro in più poteva prenotare una stanza con aria condizionata ... magari ha voluto risparmiare. 47,52 euro per una camera in centro di Roma, consideriamo che sia una tariffa più che conveniente. Posto comodo, per arrivare quasiasi posti principale della citta'. Staff simpatici e disponibili. Camera piccola ma pulita e comodo con tutti i bisoni, frigo, wifi, tv...ecc.. Unico difetto e' il bagno. Va bene piccolo e anche c'e l'aqua calda senza problemi, ma non esce l'aqua perche' l'atrezzo della doccia e' troppo vecchio quindi i buchi sono bloccati. Penso che basta cambiarlo.

Super emplacement. A 2 pas de l'arret de bus/ navettte aeroport. Mention spéciale pour Ovidio qui est vraiment très accueillant et d'une grande aide, il a pris le temps de nous fournir toutes les informations utiles pour visiter Rome. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais suffisant pour commencer la journée. Le ménage est fait tous les jours. Chambre et literie satisfaisante. Cabine de douche un peut trop étroite. La vue côté rue est un peu bruyante (passage de voiture : il ne faut pas avoir le sommeil léger) mais fort heureusement le quartier est calme. Je recommande sans hésiter vu le rapport qualité/prix et surtout pour l'accueil d'Ovidio !
