Novotel Roma est good for adult families

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: reasonable provisions for computer with internet and printout free, gym simple one
Cons: swiimming pool available dates, detailed list of transport on a big board , milk warming for in microwave, fruit at night made available.
Location: only a metro nearby walking distance, so if u have makro uk card take it with you if needed
out of metro, travel card will cover it with long distance trains only upto Roma Tiburtina, limited service on sundays and also only hourly service other days. hotel transport is only 1 service morning and evening cost 3 euros, weekends more , needs prebooking. Good 10-15 minutes walk, poor road thro passage between fields not lit or go on road either way all vegetations grown over walking place, train station path is also vegetations may be poor maintainence. so not good for kids if seeking public transport booked there as said pool, but closed october apparently, so paid extra for no reason . poor transport facilities and walking path to nearest railway station, food very expensive at hotel, but with breakfast booking rooms is advised

Please turn in the A/C

Posted Oct 30, 2015
Room was 28 deg C when I arrived and when complained was advise that the A/C was switched off for the season. Room was too hot to sleep comfortably. The rooms are dated and a refurb is required.

Bit shabby and A/C switched off!!!

Posted Oct 29, 2015
Pros: Location is convenient for me.
Cons: Refurbish and leave A/C on even if just in standby.
I have stayed at the hotel on a number occasions. The rooms have become a bit shabby and are in need of a refurbishment. The A/C had been switched off as this is arbitrarily switched off at some point in October (someone advised me that the legal date in Italy is 15 November). My room was exceptionally hot as it was 23 deg C outside and the room was West facing so had picked up a lot of heat from the afternoon sun. I advised reception and the maintenance man came and told me the chillers had been switched off. The hotel advertises that it has A/C so if they have it they should operate it!

Hotel itself was good ,but to far from city center

Posted Oct 25, 2015
We only picked it because we were passing through and didn't want to drive the rental car into Rome . If staying in Rome for any length of time it is to far out to be practical as cab fare is close to 100 euro . For it to be practical hotel needs to have a shuttle service in and out of the city center

Good hotel for a budget holiday

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and good customer service
Cons: Manage big groups in the hotel affecting service in restraunt.
Location: Vatican , collesum all within 30 minutes away
I decided to drive a rental car. I found location a bit isolated and confusing. Although access to in and out of Rome for motorways it's good.no parking charge either

Too far away from city centre

Posted Aug 15, 2014
1.Too far away from city center. It cost 30 euros to city centre by taxi (one way). 2.No basic things, like slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste in the room. 3.No duvet for sofa bed (only blanket)

Not a good place if you want quick access to Rome

Posted May 6, 2014
The hotel, staff, cleanliness, quality was all good. but the location is absolutely in a remote place, no access train stations. La Rustica station is 10 minutes walk but there are a very few trains only. The hotel runs a shuttle but only 4-5 times a day and the last trip from Tiburtina is at 8:30PM Not many people will want to return from Rome so early. I'll not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Rome as a tourist.

Nice hotel at the outskirt of Rome

Posted Apr 25, 2014
It was a great place to stay although it is hard to access if you don't have a car. A little bit dark on the small access road and not enough clear road signs or welcome sign to tell you where to turn or if you have arrived at the the hotel. Also the airconditioning is not working in our room. But it is a comfy and nice place to relax to after going around the city. Cheers!

Excellent staff

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Not a lot.
Location: Quite a distance from the City Centre [which isn't a bad thing] We had taxis to ferry us around which was fine.
Very enjoyable 3 night stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful
