Not a good deal

Posted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels
Hotel hard to find, there are no signs and address is wrong. First day, hotel was overbooked & put us in a studio. We paid for a 2 bedroom, which does not exist. Were placed in 1 bedroom but paid same price. AC mentioned in ad is SEASONAL, not all the time. Had the use of one wall unit that the water drained into a bucket we had to empty ourselves. Window broken and located on noisy street, so hard to sleep. Internet broken last day. Also, furniture pictured is from when hotel opened, nothing is new. Manager was nice and tried to work with us on price and gave discount for one night.

VERY difficult to find, no signs to identify it. Actual address does not exist. There is no 409 in the building. The correct address is 408 and there is a sign on the office door for another business. Room was very noisy even with closed windows (which had to remain open due to heat) Tiny elevator and works sporadically The original room we paid for was overbooked the first night. ended up in a studio overnight (with a baby and crib) instead of the 2 bedroom we booked. The ad was for a 2 bedroom which the hotel does not actually have, only 1 bedroom and studios. One window would not close completely and the other window was missing a shade, so it was quite bright with the street lights and early sunrise.. A/C for the entire building is seasonal and was still off, even with temps in the mid 80’s. There was one split unit AC in the living room (but not the bedroom) with the condensed water running-off into a bucket under the kitchenette which required frequent emptying. Also, the AC unit would not stop beeping (which kept waking the baby). The hot water tank was VERY small. A one person 5 minute shower turns cold. Very Hard Mattress. completely lost internet the last day. they said they could not help us. Score would have been 1/5 but I gave them 2 only because the manager attempted to help us even with the mismanaged rooms. He did work with us on price but he spoke no English. We were lucky we knew French and used that instead, even then he replied back in Italian

Beware - not as advertised

Posted May 25, 2011
Very disappointing - certainly far from a "spacious apartment" - just a tiny one combined room. In fact so small the bedside tables were down towards the end of the bed as they wouldn't fit at the head of the bed!! We were charged an extra 30 euros for a cleaning fee - there was no mention of this on the site and no other place has charged this. The "kitchen" is in a cupboard, two hotplates, no toaster, no microwave or oven, one saucepan, no frypan. The bathroom is also tiny, beware if you drop the soap in the shower, there is no room to bend down and pick it up!!!! The room is VERY noisy, lots of street noise, and you can hear if the next door unit have the TV going. This was the most expensive, the smallest and the worst accommodation in three weeks travelling in Italy. Perhaps if it were much cheaper we wouldn't have cared, but it is not cheap, especially with the cleaning fee added. I am not a complaining person, but please beware before you book this place.

Apartment with no AC, hard to find hotel.

Posted Aug 19, 2010
Finding the hotel/apartment was very very difficult. Expedia should do more with the description on how to actually get into the hotel/apartment. The taxi from the airport to the place cost $120!!! As soon as that happened I knew we were in trouble. The people who let us into the apartment hardly spoke english, they did try to help. They were only there during the day time i.e 9-5. There is no weekend service. They did give us a phone number to call but that was useless. They only provided 3 bath towels for my family of four. We had to use the towels for 3 days!!! They had no other towels. The air conditioner was only on during business hours. So it shut off around 10pm. So when we came back to the apartment we had no AC!!! Rome was 105 during our stay so nightime was a nightmare! The wife and kids could'nt sleep. There is a bed and a sofa bed. The shower/bath was a strange experience. The place would be suited for a couple with no kids and if you want no AC. The cheap way of getting to the hotel would be to take the train from the airport (if you are flying into Fiumicino) to Toscana then get a taxi to the hotel. we did the reverse when we left and it cost us for a family of 4 only $60 instead of the $120!!!

A localização é excelente. No entanto alguns problemas no quarto não passaram despercebidos: torneira da cozinha pingando, ausência de um microondas, colchas e lençóis com forte cheiro de cigarro. A internet também não funciona nos fins de semana pois creio que desliguem o provedor.

On top of the price from the web-page the hotel charged a mandatory 30+ euros for cleaning after the stay.
