Wonder full place - will surely returnPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere - the staff - the cleanliness og both room and surroundings - the shuttle service - the view overlooking Rome
Cons: Perhaps better/newer TV .. ( if you need this on vacation )
Location: situated appx. 20 km south of Rome - it takes around 25-30 minutes by train to go to Rome Termini. The trains run hourly.
Very nice rustic settings ( e.g. stonewall in room ) - VERY clean room/suite - nice restaurant - excellent "on demand" shuttle service to train / ciampino airport - Really nice and friendly staff. I have only positive words to say about this hotel - everything is wonderful. One thing perhaps for some - it's pretty secluded - so after spending a whole day in Rome we didn't even think of going back in the evening, but as the restaurant was very nice it wasn't a problem for us.

Stayed here over night before flying back to UK. Close to airport but very quiet, great hotel, food and service. We would use this again with no reservations.

Ottima location, prezzo invitantePosted Jun 26, 2015
A cinque minuti di auto dall'aeroporto, è sistemazione accogliente e fuori dalla norma. Ottimo relax - se l'orario del volo lo consente - anche per passeggiare sui prati e nello splendido giardino

Tastefully restored Winery with a lovely Rustic CharmPosted Jun 25, 2015 on Hotels
This was by far the best hotel we stayed in while on a family holiday in Italy. The hotel was a tastefully restored winery with period furniture. It has a lovely rustic charm and the location has stunning views of the countryside. The hotel had a free shuttle service to the nearby Airport and railway station. The hotel staff were very helpful and the service was excellent. The room we had has a mezzanine floor with two single beds, a separate lounge with TV area and a private room with a Kingsize bed,Ideal for families. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spotless. The bathroom had an excellent shower and ample towels were provided. I would certainly return here and I have already recommended this hotels to family & friends. An absolute Gem.

Nice place outside of RomePosted Jun 21, 2015 on Hotels
Great place just outside of Rome! we got a nice room on the second floor with views over the countryside, it was clean and the bed was good. Loved the décor, very traditional. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the train station about 1km away which took us directly into Rome Termini station. Only thing lacking was a pool but they told us the plans were in the making for one!

As close to perfect as you can get!Posted Jun 9, 2015
As we rolled up in our taxi to the electric gates we didn't know what to expect. The drive up to the front of the property revealed the most beautiful villa set in the hills amongst a sea of olive groves with a perfect view over Rome and mountains. Waking up the next morning and throwing open the shutters to experience breathtaking views of the mountains from our bed and the feel of crisp white linen sheets and a warm gentle Italian breeze felt like heaven. The food and wine were second to none,we had the fillet steak and complained that it ruined steak for us forever because we will never eat one as good again! The service was excellent and staff really couldn't do enough for you. Advice to the traveller, if flying to ciampino airport, grab a shuttle bus to Roma termini then a train to sarsonne station, the hotel runs a free shuttle service and this way is the easiest. It's a very short direct train journey to the centre of Rome and all for a great price. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Thank you!

Chill Out and see Rome!!Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
We used Pietra di Ponente for a two night stay prior to a three night stay in the centre of Rome, returning to Pietra di Ponente for the last two nights of our week visit to Rome. Our one regret is that we didn't stay the whole week here. The free Shuttle Service to Sassone or Ciampino stations meant you could be in Central Rome by 09.30 or by 11.15 if you wanted a lie in! An evening meal alfresco at the hotel, watching the sunset or in Ciampino, via the Shuttle was a relaxing end to the day. This hotel is in a picturesque and tranquil setting with ever so helpful and accommodating staff. It is an excellent base from which to see the sights of Rome. We will be returning.
