Basic room near metroPosted Nov 19, 2014
Cons: Better beds
The space was one basic room with several beds and a bathroom. This might work out well for a family with small children. The hotel is located in a quieter area with nearby access to the metro with several places to eat or buy food nearby. The staff was helpful and available 24 hours. The hotel felt secure and worked out for us as we were sightseeing and only there to sleep. This is not a resort by any stretch of the imagination and not a place you would enjoy hanging out. Outside of a small balcony the only place to sit was on the beds.

Hidden gemPosted Jul 5, 2014
This tiny hotel is located on the second floor of an apartment building in a quiet residential neighborhood. It looked like they only have two rooms for rent, yet the staff are there 24/7 and were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. By walking just a couple blocks in either direction you can get to a lovely park, an authentic outdoor street market, the subway, or the train to the airport. For the price, I can't imagine a more perfect way to experience Rome.

Good Hotel Outside of Rome CenterPosted Jun 13, 2014
Good no frills hotel in a residential area. Family room was pretty small for 5 people but the hotel was clean and the staff was excellent and very helpful. Bakery, Markets, and Restaurants very close. WiFi would only work if you kept the room door open to the hallway.

An adequate budget hotelPosted May 11, 2014 on Hotels
Like many independent "hotels" in Italy, Rona consists of a single floor of a residential building converted into multiple smaller suites. The staff was friendly and reception was always available. A minor issue is that their credit card machine wasn't working when we arrived, so cash was the only option. Other than that, this is a budget hotel so don't expect anything outside of the basics. The location within 5 minutes of both the local subway and train station, so getting into the city centre was not a problem. There was also a nice bakery downstairs and a supermarket for some supplies (snacks, water, etc). Rome is an expensive city, and you get what you pay for. Lastly, despite what the confirmation email from hotels.com says, you will need to pay the total amount to the hotel when you arrive.

Great rate, great location and would stay againPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels
Very friendly front desk personnel, always smiling and eager to answer questions. Good area with restaurants and little stores nearby by. Very convenient location between metro and bus line to get you to all the sights. Does not have all the bells or whistles of a chain hotel but you are in Rome, why be in your hotel anyway!

Nice small placePosted Aug 27, 2012 on Hotels
Very nice people running the hotel. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than we expected, but it accommodated all of us. It was close to the Metro line, and there were nice restaurants around. It was a bit awkward with kids to be essentially in an apartment complex, with residents around, because you had to be quiet during the middle of the day and early in the morning. But, overall, we would recommend this hotel to others going to Rome. It was a good deal for the price.

Amazing Bed and BreakfastPosted Jul 30, 2012
Pros: Definetly the staff
Location: the locals were some of the nicest people we had the pleasure to come in contact with
The room was clean and the building was situated in an area that made it easy to get to anywhere you would want to go. The staff went out of there way to accommodate us and were always there with helpful tips on things we may want to see that weren't exactly on the beaten path.
