The true Italian getaway

Posted Apr 22, 2017
If you want an authentic Italian getaway, this is the place to stay. You are greeting with a warm welcome and helpful staff. We will be staying here again when we return to Rome. They have a beautiful courtyard and an elevator that you will adore. This place made it even harder to leave!!!

Rossana and her daughters were super helpful during our stay! Everything from room service to tourist questions and even printing out our boarding passes!

At the first glance, we were shocked to see that the location of Rossana Holidays is just a room in a large resident building, and the building is too old. However, the nice and kind behaviour of the owner of the room made everything much better than what we had excepted.

Good room but no proper breakfast.

Posted May 16, 2015 on Hotels
The stay was very comfortable. the room too was good. Problem was that the hotel owner is the alone lady who manages everything. She buys some stuff from the supermarket and keeps it as a breakfast for morning. That is not good.

Really cute; great price!

This is a great place if you are looking to save some money. It is definitely a bit far from the city but is well serviced by buses and a cab from the major train station it's near was only 6 Euro. Alessandra, the owner, is warm and wonderful and the place was very clean. It's not for the type of people who want/need full service hotel but it was a great way to see a less touristy neighborhood and meet local people. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Alessandra is flexible but as she is one woman and also runs another business, I would recommend you email her with your arrival and departure times so that everything goes smoothly.

Reasonable accommodations with some reservations

Posted Oct 19, 2014 on Hotels
Positive: clean room and safe neighborhood. Close to public transportation and easy access to tourist sites. Negative: no reception. Had to wait to be let in. Call ahead (former home/apt turned into a B&B) Advertised as a B&B and no breakfast to be had.

Convenient stroll from Tiburtina Station!

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The room was huge and beautiful! Nice view of the garden below. We had breakfast provided.
Cons: An email address to contact Alessandra directly instead of texting as most of us do not want to incur international text costs.
Location: 5-10 min bus ride or a 20 minute stroll to main train station Tiburtina. Lots of supermarkets and eateries within the area.
My brother and I found the building without any trouble - it looks exactly the same as the display picture :) Very near the Tiburtina station and in a nice neighbourhood with quaint little shops and eating places. Alessandra, our host, was very friendly and bubbly! She gave us all sorts of recommendations on what to see and do. Do learn a bit of Italian as her English is limited (but she's taking lessons :D ). *Very important to text her number (so she can google translate) when you arrive in Rome so she can meet you if it's not during the check-in time. I called Expedia to change my check in time a few weeks in advance but they did not pass on the message to her. She arrived in 15 minutes on scooter to check us in but it would have been easier to text her directly and not via Expedia.
