It is a few minutes walk to Vatican City, very accessible to Restaurants, Groceries and there is also a laundry shop nearby if you need to wash your clothes. The property is a little bit old and need some few upgrades.

This location was great. It is in a safe neighborhood and you are able to walk around safely and easily. The space was clean and the check in was fast and simple. We had someone we could reach out to directly if there were any issues or questions, and we always had very quick responses. They even scheduled a car service for us to the airport which saved us the stress of finding a taxi early in the morning. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Rome!

Very close to Vatican. Owner is very nice but does not reside at property, so any problems can't quickly be taken care of. Ok for 1 night stay, but we wished we could have had someone to report issues to over our 6 night stay. It could use some updating in rooms. Air conditioning worked great!

For the price, in that neighborhood, this is a good choice near the Vatican. If you want deluxe, this is not the place. The air conditioning works very well, which was SO necessary when we stayed in late June during scorching heat. The breakfast offering are skimpy, but it's 'free' so make use of them, and stop for a mid-morning gelato later. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and very quiet. We didn't have sounds from outside or other guests bother us at all. The shower head was on the verge of falling off, but it worked while we used it. Definitely recommended.

A great place to stay near the Vatican!
We had a fantastic time at San Peter Rome B&B! The location is fabulous - a 5 minute walk from the Vatican, with beautiful views of the St. Peter Basilica from the street. It was also a reasonable walk from Trastevere, which is a fun neighborhood to explore and spend your evenings. The owner here is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple (pastries, yogurt, coffee, tea) but available 24/7 which really allowed for flexibility in our plans. The room is clean, comfortable, and well-kept with wine, water, and juice provided in-room. The only downside is that the B&B is located at basement level and the rooms tend to get muggy, particularly after showers and after being out all day. This can be controlled with the provided dehumidifier and air conditioner. Overall, though, we had an excellent stay and would love to return the next time we are in Rome!

Perfect base for a trip to Rome
Simone the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating, sorting taxi transfers, he always responded v promptly to any emails I sent. The beds were comfy, with complimentary soft drinks and water in the fridge in our room which were replenished every day, together with the beds being made and room cleaned. The breakfast was perfect - continental help yourself with lots of choice of pastries, yoghurts, cereals, tea and coffee so perfect for grabbing something before a days sight seeing and possible to have a cuppa and a snack on your return. The property is a 5 minute walk to The Vatican City, on a good bus route for the center of Rome although we walked most of the time. Great price for the accommodation and customer service - thank you Simone

Everything we wanted and more
Irena and Simone were fantastic and even booked a restaurant for us for Christmas lunch (highly recommend La Frusta). The room was exactly as described and the services were excellent. The breakfast, snacks, cappuccinos and wine were delicious and very convenient. Check in/out was seamless. The B&B is located on a quiet residential street but only 5 minutes to the Vatican and another 10 to the Metro. If you are arriving by train to Rome recommend you take the metro to the B&B rather than the bus - you don't have to leave the train station, far more comfortable than bus and they both drop at the same spot. Thanks Irena and Simone for making us feel at home!

Great B&B next to the Vatican
My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights. Location is very good - 5 minute walk away from San Pietro station so is easy to access from the airport, but not close enough to hear trains at night. The Vatican is a two minute walk away, which can be useful if you want to get in early to beat the crowds! It is a twenty minute walk into the centre, which is definitely do-able, or if you don't want to walk a bus runs from S. Pietro station. The landlady is very nice, helpful and speaks good English. The room was very clean, pretty spacious and well provided. Breakfast each morning was a fresh croissant, with cereal, pastries, fruit and tea & coffee, all included. Overall was excellent, would definitely recommend. Only potential downside I can think of is it was in the basement, so the view wasn't great (although there was a high window onto street level) - however, if you spend your day out and about in Rome this won't be a problem.

Very nice B&B in the heart of Rome
My wife and I stayed at the San Peter Rome B&B for four nights in September 2014. The location of this B&B is fantastic. It is close to everything, 10 minute walk to St Peters Square and the Vatican. The bus and train terminal is less than two blocks away. There are several really good restaurants and bars in the immediate area. We felt very safe walking around this area as there are a lot of apartment blocks The B&B has four rooms located in the lower floor of an apartment block. There is a common kitchen area which has a great coffee maker and several snacks which are available any time. In the mornings Irina (owner) brings fresh croissants'. The B&B is very clean and the rooms have a good bathroom and shower. There is a fridge, safe, television, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi, the room fridge is stocked each day with bottled water and yogurt. The only problem we encountered was the mattress and pillow's were extremely firm. We could have handled the firm mattress, but the rock hard pillows were a bit much. The owner, Irina, is a excellent host, she arranged for our pick-up from the airport on arrival and departure. The cost each way was 50 euro, well worth it. She gave us wonderful information and directions etc. and her restaurant recommendations were a hit. She even had bus tickets for sale, which was very convenient. We would definitely recommend this B&B for your stay in Rome.

Review of San Peter Rome B&B
The location is very good for anyone who can walk mile or two to the Vatican to see Michael Angelo's Cystyne (sp?)Chapel, but there are many restaurants close by for lunch and dinner--no more than a block. It is a bed and breakfast, and is not staffed all the time, so arrivals need to be coordinated ahead of time, and we did have to wait outside a locked door for 15-minutes until the very nice check-in person arrived. The room itself was certainly OK, except the bed was rock hard. Everything one would need was available for continental breakfast, with a coffee machine that made Americanos, lattes, and cappuccinos anytime of the day and night. There was also fruit, yogurt in the room mini-refrigerator, and breakfast croissants were delivered at 8 a.m. daily. We were met with great courtesy and helpfulness, and the greeter offered to print our boarding passes for our plane back to the U.S. We would recommend this bed and breakfast.

Superb location and affordable accomodatio
It is hard to imagine that we could get such good value next to the Vatican! The rooms - in the lower ground floor of a classic big Roman apartment building are comfortable and the breakfast/kitchen facilities are good. The Vatican is within sight and the railway station with easy access to the airport is only a stroll away. The air conditioning in the room is critical in the current warm September evenings.

Great location for vatican - that's all
Great location - 5 mins from Vatican. But hard to find, no clear markings outside the building. Rooms are in the basement. No elevator, had to carry the luggage up/down the stairs. Never met Irina. We got off at the wrong San Petro station and managed to get in touch with her, she was on vacation. She did not advise us to get back on the train and go to the other station. instead warned us of the 45 min walk across the vatican with our luggage to the hotel. Not very happy about that. Breakfast was one cold croissant, unlimited coffee/tea and some juice/water. Not what you expect from a bed/breakfast place. Our maid was helpful/pleasant.

Convenient for visiting the Vatican. But no elevator to basement where the rooms are located, no signage. Breakfast was one cold croissant pp. Fridge equiped with milk, yogurts, butter. No hot buffet breakfast and no one to serve you. Self service. San pietro station is clser and bus 64 from Rma termini. Ottaviano san pietro is on the other side of Vatican. Local ohone calls a plus.

Terrific affordable B&B near the Vatican
My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The small B&B is tucked into the bottom floor of an apartment building between the Vatican and the San Pietro train station, and is very clean and well cared for. A croissant breakfast is provided in the kitchen every morning, and each room has a fridge that is stocked with yogurt and juice each day (all included in your room price). Complimentary fruit and snacks are available 24/7 in the kitchen area, which is great to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Irena, the hostess, provided friendly service and helped us communicate with our airline about a lost suitcase (she even met the courier at the B&B when the suitcase was finally delivered, so we did not have to interrupt our day of sightseeing). The hotel's neighborhood is a bit on the quiet side with limited dining options, and is a good 20-minute walk across the Tiber from most major sites (aside from St. Peter's Square, which is only 5 minutes away). But the San Pietro train station is very convenient for travel to and from the airport and/or the Termini train station, and the 64 bus (which will take you into the tourist area of Rome) passes right by the hotel. Overall, we highly recommend the San Peter Rome B&B for a pleasant, affordable Roman trip!

Convenient location
Excellent location if you want to be near St. Peters Square. Our room, even though it was in a basement, was very clean and having a refrigerator in our room stocked with water, yogurt, juice, etc. was a nice touch as was the availability of coffee, tea, fruit, crackers in the very small kitchen/office/lobby area. Our experience with the hostess cast a shadow on an otherwise terrific review. She was all business and efficiency with no warmth, hurriedly checking us in upon our arrival and her demeanor remained the same in the morning (off-site management). We were so very thankful when another guest offered help in making our coffee as we had not been instructed in the machine's use, nor did we find any directions.

Great Location
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The only challenge is that because they don't have a front desk (it is a private Bed & Breakfast in an apartment building), you have to call and arrange for someone to meet you there. They are very good about being there when you make that call and so we would recommend St. Peter's B & B to anyone. The place was very clean and it was a great location - a short walk to St. Peter's / the Vatican which is what we were there for. It is bit hard to find at first but many things in Rome can be hard to find - try following a map there. Continental breakfast was fine - some fresh fruit, toast, cereal, baked goods, yogurt. They had a great espresso machine so that was really nice to use! Irena was very helpful!

Warm stay at BB San Peter Rome
Stayed for two nights then moved to a friend's place. Amazing landlady, Irina. Even took care of our airport shuttle to the BB. She also arranged our shuttle back to the airport even though we were not staying at her BB any longer, simply awesome service and spoke perfect English so no communication problem at all. Room was clean and comfortable, free breakfast , too, with lots of snacks and coffee all day. Being first timers in Rome, my wife and I found her very helpful is giving us info and tips. You completed our beautiful vacation
Staying in San Peter Rome truly a wonderful experience and made our trip to Rome a complete one. Upon arriving to the doorstep of the B& B my wife and I were amazed to see the Dome of St Peter's Basilica in front of us. Secondly, we were surprised again by the location of the B&B though we were standing in front of the exact building. It's no where to be seen. Then, the staff of the B& B guided us into the building and we were again shocked to see the place was so cosy, nice and comfortable. On the first day itself, my wife and I had decided to stay there without any second thoughts. The service, the cafe and the room were much better than any five- stars hotel. Truly staying in San Peter Rome was a beautiful place to stay in, in addition to it's strategic location and quiet surrounding. We will definitely come here again with no regrets.

The best place to stay when visiting Rome
I wanted to take a trip to Rome but wanted something a little more affordable. This was definitely an awesome deal! They had a good self serve breakfast and espresso every morning. It was easy to get to all the major sites by public transportation (an easy 5 minute walk away). When I go to Rome again in the future, I will only stay here!!

Good location, great room, great espresso machine!
My wife and I stayed one night here before flying back to Missouri in the USA. We were very impressed with the size of the room, it was large and even had a couch that could be turned into an additional bed. The food was good for breakfast and there was a Lavazza espresso machine for morning espresso and milk provided. The location was a bit difficult to figure out, and thankfully we met an english speaker that was coming out that helped us find it. The buzzer on the door is the bottom left one, it says something like San Pietro, but nothing about the B&B. We also stayed at a different B&B across from the Vatican Museum on the way to our cruise and it was much smaller and not as clean and cost more money. I would definitely recommend Bed and Breakfast San Peter Rome.

The place is ok, no tel contact in confirmation
The hotel itself is ok except it's on the basement, you have to carry your luggage down and up the stairs on arrival and departing. However, it's so weird that there is no telephone contact in the hotel confirmation. We waited 1.5 hours outside the building entrance as no one attended to the door bell. We checked our personal email whether anything sent from the B&B for contact, however there was none and finally needed to phone up hotel.com for help. Roaming data and international calls for sorting out this issue was ended up more expensive than a 1 night stay at this B&B.

Our stay at the Bed & Brekfast San Peter Rome
Had a bit of a tough time finding it as it is in a apartment building and strangely there were no signs. I asked someone in the building and they pointed us to the bottom floor. You need to arrange in advance when you will be arriving to have someone meet you there at check in. The rooms are in an apartment and share a communal kitchen. Our room was perfect. Clean, clean, clean and you get snacks and some juice and water included. You can make coffee in the morning in the kitchen. You can see St. Peters from the front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
