christmas bernini

Pros: the position is excellent and if you are able to book a room overlooking the piazza then worth putting up with the noise.
Cons: better personal table service in the breakfasting room. our room was noisy. keep a check on condition of bathroom fitments and furniture in the room
Location: the location is excellent and the saving grace for the hotel metro and taxis immediately to hand. sensible walk to city, trevi and pantheon.
hi this hotel is in an excellent position but rooms require some tlc. (chair back loose, headboard foot broken and shower hose should be replaced). the room on the side overlooks the road and is noisy from traffic and buses charging up the hill. most noticeable at night. where is the tea and coffee facility in the room ? breakfast: poor choice and poor value for money with almost non existent personal / table service. second morning busy and hot food had run out. no clean cups or glasses available as all on tables (to be cleared). third morning didn't even look and taken from local cafe across the road. cheaper by far, better choice and service which should not be the case. did not try the restaurant (fabulous view from terrace) as unable to find food to suit on the menu and given the exorbitant prices not prepared to try the menu out.

Close to many attraction sites in Rome

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: It's location in the central of ancient Rome with walking distance from many attraction sites.
Cons: The room furniture and the room insulation.
Location: Location is strategic and is walking distance or short drive from many attraction sites in town.
A nice hotel located at the heart of ancient Rome with walking distance from many attraction sites . Helpful and friendly staff , specially the Concierge and the reception staff . We did not like the room furniture being too modern and low cost . We were staying at the first floor and we found the rooms is noisy due to the poor insulation. Value for money is on the high side .

Over all very good. Hotel bed very hard. No hot water boiling pot in room for tea or coffee maker. Should have it. Also should provide complementary water every day. Very clean. Thanks

Great location for sight seeing.

Hotel great location with some lovely restaurants close by. Non smoking room was obviously used by smokers before us and so had an aroma!! All mirrors were highly tarnished and so unable to see clearly through. Staff and reception area lovely and are 5 star but room was sadly not.!!

Very Good Central Location

Posted Apr 29, 2016
Pros: It's location, the style and décor, the view from the rooftop bar and restaurant, the staff.
Cons: Our room adjoined the room next door, with a locked door between. We could hear every word the neighbouring American couple were saying.
Location: Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps, Pantheon all within easy walking distance. Colosseum and Vatican not much further away. Restaurants & bars very near.
This hotel is a perfect base for a wonderful long weekend in Rome. With many attractions - Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo within easy walking distance and good restaurants close by, Colosseum and Vatican not too much further away. The hotel is good, the streets are a bit noisy with traffic at night, but this is Rome after all, it's not a quiet place. Only downside - our room had a door to the neighbouring room, locked obviously but we could hear the neighbours very clearly when talking late at night. Can not fault the hotel in any other way and the staff were excellent, the small rooftop terrace has fantastic views over the city, restaurant and bar at the rooftop is expensive but nice.

Good Hotel close to sights in Rome

Posted Apr 6, 2016
Pros: Close to sites, restaurants cafes and shopping
Cons: Improve the Air-conditioning system.
Location: Close to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Parthenon and a Hop on Hop off bus stop.
Temperature in the Hotel when we arrived was about 30 degrees and broken Air Conditioning. Air Conditioning was not operating until day 2 in the afternoon. After the Air Conditioning was "fixed" you still could not get the temperature below about 25 degrees. To placate us they gave us a bottle of wine and a plate of fruit. Other that the temperature issue it is a great Hotel.

Good location for getting around Rome.

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Room reservation for three people and we were given a room with one king bed. They had to bring a fold-away bed. Room was very clean but very uncomfortable. Location was good for getting around Rome easily, and it's close to shopping. Not great restaurants nearby. Hotel is right next to Metro stop so there were armed military outside every day. Door man on duty only some of the time - not a big deal just an observation. There is no pool! The one pictured in their marketing material is in the penthouse suite so unless you're staying in the penthouse, there is no pool to use.
