Nice hotel, well locatedPosted Nov 23, 2015
It's a small, charming hotel just yards from the Pantheon. We were booked into the Annex which was not charming. We were led into another street and found two tramps sitting on the step of an uninviting doorway. They grudgingly let us pass. The receptionist moved us into accommodation in the main hotel. The hotel was very nice, the breakfast excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

Perfect location! Lovely hotel.Posted Nov 21, 2015
Pros: Location, comfortable, good breakfast
Location: Pantheon on opposite side of the small pedestrian piazza. Fabulous location
On arrival we were initially disappointed not to able to upgrade to a room overlooking the square. However this actually was an advantage as room 214 was exceptionally quiet. The hotel is perfectly located very close to many of the main attractions. Plenty of great restaurants/cafes in the square which is a lovely place to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by! Our room was very comfortable. The hotel is lovely with friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. We will definitely stay there again should we be lucky enough to return to the beautiful city of Rome.

Great location. Good place but poor rooms.Posted Nov 11, 2015
Pros: Location. breakfast. staff.
Cons: Room comfort
Staff was nice, in particular Dante the bell boy. Location is amazingly central and nice. Breakfast is above average these days. So far so good. the problem are the rooms, he real weak point - for example Room 314 was smelting hot even in mid november, and extremely small - uncomfortably small. make the stay impossible during the day and unpleasant during the night.

A NICE AND VERY WELL LOCATED HOTEL, VERY CLEAN, AND FRIENDLY STAFF, TWO LOCATIONS SO YOU MUST GET FAMILIAR WITH THE ACTUAL LOCATION OF YOUR ROOM (IT MAY NOT BE THE MAIN HOTEL)

It was a nice location. The front desk receptionist was helpful and friendly. The bell boy was also very nice and helpful. It was pouring down rain when we arrived and the taxi driver told us that taxis are not allowed to pull-up to the front door, so we had to run a short distance through the rain with suitcases. Our room was not in the main building but in the annex building, a short walk to the next alleyway. We had to go through three doors to get into our room and it took three different keys. The garbage was collected inside the front door of our building and it didn't smell good. That was a little turn-off for me but overall the room was nice enough, even though the furnishings and bedding were dated. So, nothing fancy! The breakfast was nice and overall the room was a fair price for the location...

Céntrico hotel con excelente servicioPosted Aug 25, 2015 on Hotels
Excelente hotel tipo boutique. Pequeño, con muy buenos servicios y excelente atención. Establecido dentro de la parte peatonal de la plaza, con el Pantheon y restaurantes típicos saliendo.

Pros: The location is fabulous!
Cons: New mattresses, better layout in the small rooms, maintenance in the bathroom (door, shower), give clients more information, more plug sockets
Location: The location offers access to the most wonderful parts of historic Rome, all on foot.
We were looking forward to our stay at this hotel after reading good reviews. It was disappointing. If you have a room overlooking the Pantheon and Piazza della Rotonda I'm sure the experience would be rather different. If you have a 'classic' double or twin, prepare for a small space and a tired-looking room. The 'twin beds' are pushed together to form a double. The beds are narrow, and the mattresses soft. I emailed twice to request that given our circumstances we needed a real twin room with some space between the beds. I received replies that they would do their best. I repeated this when we arrived but there was understandable disorganisation as the hotel had no electricity between 8.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on the day (not their fault). So I knew my request was unlikely to get a proper response. It didn't. My son chose to move one bed into the small space alongside the bathroom and the floor under the bed wasn't clean. The bathroom (sliding) door was very difficult to shut, lock, and unlock. The breakfast was fine in the little interior courtyard and it was a nice touch to have water, biscuits and fruit available for guests in the reception room. The reception staff and porters were very friendly, but in terms of what we specifically requested, we felt ignored. The location is superb but otherwise we didn't feel the hotel earned its stars or was good value for money.

Best location in RomePosted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Lots of character, lots of wardrobe space, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the best location in Rome
Cons: Better engagement of the staff at reception. On arrival and departure they were great, but in between they were not at all helpful.
Location: The Pantheon is on your doorstep, whilst Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Piazza de Espana are less than 5 minutes away. Bars and restaurants abound.
With the Pantheon on your doorstep you have a great advantage, when you are the oldest hotel in Rome you have even more. The character, old walls, amazing ceilings and mouldings, the pretty little breakfast courtyard, all combine to make this a comfortable, if not luxurious, hotel. Little touches in the room like slippers and bathrobes, in the bathroom the amenity kits are very comprehensive and there was a good selection of channels in several languages on the TV. The wifi is flaky at best - but mostly it just doesn't work. Thankfully though there are many cafes and bars around offering it. The porters and breakfast staff are wonderful, really friendly and helpful. The only ones letting the side down are a couple of the reception staff - sent to the wrong station for a train to Tivoli (should be Tiburtina not Termini) and complete lack of interest when asking for help with the wifi. But on the whole this is the perfect hotel for Rome and I can't wait to go back!

Hotel provided transportation upon arriving in Rome which was very convenient. Staff was friendly and courteous, area was perfect for sightseeing. One room was very spacious and the other was okay. Breakfast was terrific.
