We were completely satisfied with our stay at Hotel Teti. The location is very convenient to the Rome Termini train station. The staff is very patient and helpful. Our room was attractive, comfortable and clean.

Good for a Night or Two
The hotel was handily places for Rome main train and bus station and Metro so ideal for exploring the city. Approachng hotel from station it does seem to be in a bit of a rough neighbourhood but actually from the hotel away from station the road improves and there are some good bars and restaurants further down. Biggest downer was lack of proper air con. A huge ceiling fan did its best but after a while the constant whirring noise and windy conditions started to irritate. Breakfast was better than most of its ilk. Reception staff were all fine and friendly.

clean, tidy and in good location
Nice room in a good location. Breakfast was handy and nice. Room was a bit small however and air conditioning was not included in cost of room. It was alright during our stay but in summer months would be a must and cost 13 euro a day.

Made my first visit to Rome perfect!
Amazingly central, clean rooms and the staff were ever so helpful. I left my bag in a taxi and the guy on the desk was phoning around for me while I got some sleep just so he could let me enjoy my visit instead of worrying. Will definitely be using this hotel again in the future!

good value for money
5 min walk from train station, friendly staff, basic breakfast consisting of rolls, cheese, ham, yoghurts and pastries. Clean hotel. We arrived 2hrs early and our room was allready for us. Safety deposit box in room was free.

Nice small budgetary hotel near the termini
Single room was clean, with comfortable bed. Location is also fine, 5 mins walking from Termini. Nice restaurant just behind the next door to the hotel building. Breakfast was also good. But when I've asked for a cup of coffee in the evening, the girl at the front desk answered this is not possible. Really strange as for me. Another guy from the front desk was super friendly.

My first choice every time !
100% service as usual. Every day was perfect. Couldn't fault this hotel. Amazing instant hot water. Strong WiFi, good breakfast, very very helpful staff and pleasant.

Ideal location to Termini. Second floor entry is annoying. Good restaurants nearby. Room fine as only used as a base for sleep and shower. Paying for aircon is a cheek!

Hotel is close to the train station.
The staff was helpful and spoke English. The rooms were small, but clean, and had good quality mattresses. There was no view out of the window but because we faced the alley it was relatively quiet. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast that had a variety of options, yogurt, cereals, fresh bread and pastries, jams, ect. It has a great location and is reasonably priced.

Nice little hotel in great location!
We where pleased to find the hotel in a nice street with lots of restaurants close to the station. Walking distans to a lot of the attractions and felt safe to walk even at night.

Nice hotel, cheap and close to transport
Hotel and staff were great, close to train and bus stations yet close enough to walk to attractions like the Colosseum and Pantheon (if you don't mind walking). Good restaurants on the doorstep as well!!

WORST ever Hotel experience in Italy - hidden cost
This hotel has a HIDDEN COST. During 36-38 deg C in Rome, this hotel charged extra for air-conditioning, which is 5 Euro/night and if you agree, then only they will give you the remote for the air-con. If you check the hotel description in hotels.com in Main amenities section, it mentions 'Air conditioning', with a small note in Policy mentioning the cost. We tried to argue on this, then they called Hotels.com and that lady told me that they are supposed to help the Hotel only, not the customer. If I need anything then I have to contact Customer Service of Hotels.com. During your vacation, you hardly care to spend time with Customer Service for more than 1 hour arguing on 5 Euro/ day. The total experience was very bad. This hotel has 24*7 hotel desk. The experience with the night manager was very bad (other managers were good). He could not even provide ice for the drinks & actually did ask us why do we need ice - with a VERY DEROGATORY SMILE. Then he said I will bring ice to your room in 5 minutes, which never was delivered. This manager had no info about Rome. We took a triple room that hardly had any space left after putting two beds- felt like it was originally built as a double room. It was difficult to move around a small cabin luggage in the room. There was little space between the cupboard and bed. Though we paid for the air-con, everyday when we entered the room at the night, we found the windows are open, therefore in 37 degree C in Rome, the room got quite hot

Very nice hotel in the heart of rome
It was a good place to stay. We book for 3 people so we had to pay 10 euros extra a night. Also have to pay an extra 5 for air conditioning, but so worth it! House keeping was great, the beds were ok, bathroom very small, typical in Italy. I would stay here again!

Great location. Plenty to do around the hotel.
Be sure to ask about air conditioning. That's my only complaint. They have A/C, but you have to ask for it. Because they didn't offer it, and because I was stupid and just assumed that meant no, I spent all night sweating in a Rome summer heat wave with the windows open to let all the street noise in. (The trade-off for the great location is that it's very, very noisy outside. Very, very noisy.) So just ask and they will sell you A/C for like E$5 per night, which is fine. But apparently you have to ask. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was (as advertised) "Continental," so nothing fancy, but better than expected. There is a lift only part-way, so prepare to carry your bags.

Overnight stay in Rome with 4 adults.
I think the most difficult thing to do is locate a hotel in Rome online. It took me a few days to decide. I went with Hotel Teti and hoped for the best. I only say that because of the current ratings and the price, but wow was I surprised at how nice the hotel really is! Yes, it is on the 3rd floor, but the stairs aren't too bad, there is a lift for luggage. We didn't use it because we only had backpacks. You are immediately greeted by a very friendly receptionist and they show you to your room, only 15 I think. We stayed in the large room that had a queen sized bed and 2 twins. The room was spacious, clean, and so was the bathroom. FYI, bathrooms in Italy are very small, if you aren't already aware. The room was very quiet and overlooked the street and below are a few stores, a restaurant, and a bar. You can ask the receptionist for suggestions on places to eat and they wont steer you wrong. The hotel is literally 2 blocks from the train station so very convenient. I will definitely stay there again next time I go to Rome.

This hotel was on the second floor of an old building with an elevator that only started on the first floor. That's one above ground floor in Europe. The room was tiny, the bed even more so. Did I say bed? I meant cot. AC was extra. The only good part was that it was 2 blocks from the train station and I only needed it for one night. The Website pictures were deceiving.

Clean and well located
The hotel room was really clean and comfortable. It is located 2 blocks away from Termini station, so it is easy to reach all the touristic attractions by subway. There are a lot of options nearby when it comes to eating. The only negative thing about Teti is that you have to take the stairs to the second floor of the building.

IN MY OPINION, THIS IS AN UNPLEASANT THIRD FLOOR WALKUP. MY ROOM WASN'T READY ON ARRIVAL AT 1030 SO I PAID 20 EUROS PER NIGHT EXTRA FOR AN "UPGRADE". THE BED WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR ME AND THE SO-CALLED BREAKFAST INCLUDED SIMPLE ROLLS AND PACKAGE BISCUITS THAT IS NOT READY B4 730. DEFINITELY LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A HOTEL- THERE ARE MANY HOTELS IN THE TRAIN STATION AREA IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE YOU CAN CONSIDER. AFTER 2 NIGHTS, I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF MY ROOM.

Basic and convenient
This hotel is only two blocks from Termini, so was great for me to get an early train to the airport. The neighborhood is not too great, and a big disadvantage was the hotel entrance was on the third floor of a slightly seedy building. There is an elevator to take you to the floor the hotel is on. But once inside the hotel, it was very well maintained, clean and cheerful, with a nice breakfast room and an ample breakfast included. Also, a big convenience is having a safe in the room. I was on my own so had a single room, which was pretty small but comfortable. It had a small bathroom, but again it was clean and in good condition. For the price, to have a private bathroom was very nice. I thought for what I paid, it was a very good deal. I would stay here again.

Great stay, but one thing...
Hotel was in new condition. It's a very small hotel with only around 10 rooms near the check in desk. I found it bizarre that they do not allow you to take your room key out of the hotel premises. Instead you must leave it with the Front desk and collect it when you return. This is a bit of a privacy invasion but everything else was okay except for the fact the only way I could get Wifi for my laptop was by sitting inside the lobby.

Good basic hotel
Hotel Teti is a basic hotel in a block of similar hotels. We had a spacious family room, with a good sized shower room. The room had a ceiling fan, which was very effective, if a little noisy. All very clean and tidy, and very handy for Termini station, which is what we wanted. Good location for lots of on-pavement restaurants at reasonable prices. Staff welcoming and helpful throughout. The wifi worked, and there was a PC available for use too. The area is OK, and we felt comfortable out and about in the evening (although steering around the odd unsavoury character here and there). Oh, and yes, the beds are not soft and enveloping, but perfectly good and comfy imho - it's down to personal preference I guess.

This place was perfect for what we needed it to be: first time in Rome, only there three nights, needed to do it all in a short amount of time. The location of teti is essential. It's in the heart of rome, right near termini station and close to all hop on hop off tours. The staff were extremely helpful and recommended some great restaurants and activities. I felt totally safe, and its not a five star, but you get more than what you paid for with this hotel.
