Loved this hotel! Great location safe neighborhood

My daughter and I were allowed to check in early which made it much easier to freshen up after 14 hours of travel before going out to explore. The staff were very pleasant/helpful if we needed anything throughout our stay. They left fresh fruit upon arrival and complimentary water daily. This hotel is in a great location-we walked to nearly everything we wanted to do and felt very safe regardless of the time of day. The room was a bit warm for us at night-we opened the balcony doors to cool the room. (We are from Miami so we are used to super cold rooms.) Otherwise the room was really perfect! We also enjoyed a very late dinner at their resturant Devony. The meal was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel in Rome

Pros: Location, price, and old school Italian charm.
Cons: Some of the room service prices were slightly high, but the service was always in timely and food was tasty.
Location: Great location. Easy walking distance to the Spanish steps, and heart of Rome.
Outstanding hotel experience. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and convenient to all of Rome. Historic building with a sense of old school Italian luxury throughout. Room service was prompt and food was tasty. Very comfortable, quiet, and offered several amenities. Will stay here on our next trip to Rome.

Lovely elegant posh hotel in Rome

Love the hotel. Room is very comfortable with very nice bed, bath. It has chandelier in the bedroom & bathroom. There was pillow menu, as expected. Food in both Cafe Doney & Restaurant Doney are great. I had one of the best BLT in the cafe. Also had dinner twice in the restaurant. Great service as well. There were torn down service with nice biscuits put on the bed. Very convenient location, close to Barberini metro, Gallery Borghese. Will be back!

One of the best in Rome

I love this hotel It's central Close to transportation Great rooms Great breakfast Great gym Great staff Only bad thing is the cost Otherwise it's an A plus

Great stay at The Westin!

Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: Original rooms were small.
Location: Everything is nearby in including the US Embassy
Very well run property. From the valet to the front desk staff. All were amazing! The rooms were small but with an upgrade I was in a palace.

Great location, nice old world hotel.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful whether in arranging transportation or making dinner reservations. They were consistently great.
Cons: Put coffee in the sleeping rooms. Include a pay per view movie channel selection. Beds were too soft. Not the 'heavenly bed' Westin promotes.
Location: The many sites and ruins are within walking distance or a short taxi ride away.
The hotel is beautiful. Pluses: staff, location, availability of taxis right outside. Minuses: no in room coffee, seems a bit worn (I guess that is what 'old world' means to some). Overall a very nice place to stay while visiting Rome.

Very safe, Antique beauty!

The hotel is older and filled with charm! Loved the antiques, the elevator is stunning! The room was a tiny bit warm, but I just opened the door to the balcony for fresh air. Even the bathroom was luxurious, filled with marble, floor to walls!

My sister had her SPG gold number, but they didn't provide us with an upgraded room because we had gotten the room through Expedia, even though at Sheraton Salzburg, we were given an upgraded room, which we had booked through Expedia as well. The hotel didn't have a kettle in the room nor an iron, due to some "local legislation". I had to pay them to get my clothes ironed. We had to keep getting hot water from them for our tea, which was a hassle. The room provided to us was outdated, the internet speed was ridiculously slow. The only decent thing was the location, and some of the staff was nice! That's about it.

Good location

Hotel was very good value and overall enjoyed the stay - where the hotel could improve is better access to internet-updated decor in rooms and tea/coffee facilities- also reception staff not on the ball. However great location and still a good hotel
