Nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood.

Posted Apr 11, 2017
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The flooring in the reception and lobby area be safety friendly.
A little nice, clean and quiet hotel. Very good breakfast. However, the Lobby and reception area and stairs is covered with blue and black destructing design carpet and one can easily miss the stairs and fall which happened to me. There is no porter to help, there are five steps to go up to elevator, which is hard to carry your luggage up especially if you have heavy luggage.

Comfortable and good value

I chose this hotel as it is the closest to Università Pontificia Salesiana (20 min walk). Also only 15 walk to to Nuovo Salario station with direct trains to the airport. Nearby shops, supermarket and fast food. Better restaurants within 10 minutes walk. My single room was small but had everything I needed, and rooms at the back are quiet and overlook a pleasant garden. Free internet. Many TV channels, but all Italian. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was included but limited: good pastry, bread, cake, yogurt and cereal (but no rolls).

get what you pay for

Picked this hotel because it seemed like a decent balance between price and reviews. It was mediocre at best. Clean enough to be getting on with. Service was fine, but do learn some Italian--most of the staff don't speak much, if any. Hotel breakfast was TERRIBLE, but there's just about nothing else to eat in the neighborhood. Room was tiny, uncomfortable, very loud, and only nominally non-smoking (someone nearby was smoking, and for some reason there was an ashtray in the room). It's pretty far from everything else in the city, but it's close to a bus stop--if you take the 88 for 15 min, you can get to the Conca d'Oro subway station (connections to the Palatine). If you take the 92 for 30 min, you can get to Termini (connections to airports and the Vatican).
