Pros: Nothing
Cons: Rates could be adjusted to suit the quality of the establishment. Spa could be included in the rate.
The name "Hotel Spa Le Finlandais" gives the impression that the hotel includes a spa facility which is the reason we booked our rooms here. There is in fact no spa in this hotel and when we found out the spa across the street was closed for renovations there was no compensation on the room rates. This hotel is not as advertised! It's an old hotel with minor renovations and high rates. You can put lipstick on a pig but the pig is still a pig.

It is unfortunate to hear your stay at the hotel did not meet your expectations. It is written on Expedia that the Spa facilities are temporally under renovations. The picture is a seasonal pool which is closed for winter.

Nice visit- but spa not available

Posted Mar 6, 2018
The hotel was very nice. Morning breakfast was good. I booked it because it was a spa and hotel. I was disappointed that Expedia did not disclose that the spa was shut down due to a fire.

Decent hotel close to shopping mall

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: The hotel provides nice breakfast with various selection. It is close to shopping mall to ease our dinner choice.
Cons: No extra comment
Location: We were just passed by in a rush. It is good enough to have a big shopping mall around that we can spent time in.
This hotel is a nice hotel adjacent to a big shopping mall, with its spa counterpart across the opposite of the main road.

Absolutely heavenly!!

Posted Oct 29, 2017 on Hotels
This is the second time at the spa and the 1st time at the hotel. We absolutely loved it!! We only live 1/2 hour away but it felt like we were miles and miles away from ALL! What a wonderful place to totally disconnect from everything! The room was very pleasant, breakfast was really good! The spa.....heavenly! We're going to make this a regular activity. There are so many different places to rest, indoors and out. By the lake or surrounded by trees. There are several saunas and pools and there is always room for everyone. Plus we had a fantastic lunch: soup, salads, cheese platter.... and wine!! I'm a huge fan!!!

Pros: Exquisite, very different from other hotel.
Cons: A/C is too cold, difficult for us to adjust so we turn it off or turn on the heat and the fan is noisy. It would be better with clear instructions.
Nice view from my hotel room. I can see the swimming pool and the lake from the window/sliding door. There a beautiful balcony with chairs and table, I love it!

Will not be returning

Posted Sep 18, 2017 on Hotels
Room was fine with the exception that staff members did not notice that the closet door was off track and pocket lights above bed were not working. The breakfast was the worst breakfast ever, in all my travels. The choices were muffins, hard boiled eggs, slice processed cheese, fruit salad in a bowl, not freshly made but can fruit salad and that is it. I saw a lot of stunned looks as people walked in. I realize that the dim black lights in hallways are there to maintain a mood of relaxation but it makes it a bit hard to see where you are going. The good news was that I was not there to spend a lot of time at the hotel, was out and about most of the time.

The basic rooms are very basic

Posted Sep 17, 2017
The basic rooms are nothing special, they are quite outdated and need a good reno. The night staff were nice but didn't know they're drink menu, my boyfriend wanted a gin and tonic, a drink on they're drink menu in the room but the night staff didn't know how to make one. I'm sure they're superior rooms are nice but I'd pass on the basic ones.

Amazing hotel and staffs

Posted Sep 5, 2017
It is a small cozy hotel right by the spa. I was not aware of the spa discount you get when you stay at the hotel but that was a pleasant surprise :) We arrived pretty late when we were checking in but the staff was very friendly. You have everything you need at the hotel and the spa experience was amazing! I would definitely go back :)

No frill hotel

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: Got it for a good price.
Cons: Breakfast needs overhaul. Corridor lights need to be normal!
The hotel is located little far from the main city attractions. It has breathtaking views (river side). Swimming pool is very small. No life guards. Breakfast was disappointing. Corridor lights look sleazy. Rooms are alright. You rarely get to see the staff (even during breakfast).
