Great Hotel Close to City

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: Staff, room, and location to Christmas market.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing.
Location: Short walking distance to center square (Christmas market).
The train ride from Nuremburg was three trains and after 15 hours in and out of airports, this hotel was a blessing to see. The man working the front desk and his wife could not have been nicer to us. The room was very clean and on the back side, so we didn't get any noise from the street below, which unlike more populous cities, was dead after the Christmas market closed at 8 or 9 PM. We ate in the hotel and our meal was wonderful - brats, kraut, and boiled potatoes. We were very close to the Christmas market, which for our one day there and after all the travel getting there, was definitely an A+. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay inside the walled city, but away from the busy center.

Charming hotel in old town close to the center

Posted Oct 17, 2016
Pros: We liked its location, ambience, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: Nothing.
We stayed here only one night, but it was perfect because we were right in the middle of old town where we could walk around taking in all the sights and shopping as well. It was too cool to sit outside, but they had a beautiful garden and patio for summer weather. Although we didn't eat dinner here, the breakfast was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for anything more for a one night quick stop. It would have been a perfect place for a longer stay as well. The staff was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel in Rothenburg old town

Posted Jul 19, 2016
Pros: Coziness, character; old house. Location
We are lucky we planned to stay in this hotel in Rothenburg, just wished we could have stayed at least one additional day. The hotel is very close to the main square, is an old and beautiful house with lots of character. Staff was very average and the room is what you expect in an old house, nevertheless, very cozy and quiet, very big room for European standards so that is a plus. Breakfast area in a very nice dinning room and with plenty of alternatives. Being a very touristy town, don't miss a walk very early in the morning when you can appreciate the beauty of the town without the hassle of crowds.
