Took no interest in Hotel group booking error...Couldn't call group from their phones...Had to pay upgrade for room that should have been the same price according to group.Didn't try or care about guests situation.

We do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay.
We looked into your reservation and found that the reason for the upgrade fee was because you had originally booked a room with only 1 double size bed and at check in informed the hotel staff on duty that you needed a room with 2 double size beds. Because of the change in room type, we did have to charge an upgrade fee due to the room with 2 double size beds costing more than the room with 1 double size bed.
While we are unable to tell what other reservations were part of your group, we did notice a number of people for the same date who also booked rooms with 1 bed and needed 2 and had to pay the upgrade fee as well.
We apologize if our policy came as an inconvenience for you and your group. We try our best to serve our customers with the best possible while still following hotel policy.
