Pros: Ease and security of parking, location, breakfast and free wifi.
Cons: The wifi speed was slow. Videos were almost impossible to watch/download. The gate for people to go in and out from is a little overgrown.
Location: As above. Close to the metro with a few nice restaurants and bars nearby. The MacArthur Glen outlet had a large number of clothes shops.
We stayed here for two nights during Euro 2016. Hotel was easy to find and staff were helpful and polite on check in. Parking was free and secure with a code operated gate at.the entrance. Room was small but clean and was fine for our purpose. The hotel breakfast was very good with a good variety of cereals, pastries and bread with ham and cheese. We didn't try the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Location was a short walk to the Roubaix Grande Place metro stop and it was 15 minutes into Lille centre from there. Roubaix itself has a couple of nice restaurants and bars and also a large MacArthur Glen shopping outlet.

Don't come here

Posted Jun 4, 2015 on Hotels
I use Campanile hotels all the time and would always recommend them for great value for money. This one however lets the side down on all counts. None of the staff speak english (in fact some of them can barely speak french) The food is abismal, it,s dirty and decrepid (not even a hair dryer in the room) on top of this it's in a horrible part of town with down and outs sitting on the wall outside drinking cans of beer. Not nice, don't come here.... go to Wasequal (just a few kms away), much better.

Ok for one night

Posted Sep 10, 2014 on Hotels
This hotel is ok for one night but no longer. The staff were quite helpful. The room was not that clean , the handbasin was cracked and not all the lights worked. Breakfast was adequate and it is in quite a rough neighbourhood although the car park was secure. It took about half an hour to drive to Lille so if you want to visit the city I'd stay closer yo it.

just what we needed

we were staying in Roubaix for the cycling last weekend and this was a great location, loads of parking and they laid on breakfast at 4am for those taking part in the event who had to get up early. clean, tidy and good value.

Not bad but expensive mediocre food

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Cons: Lower price for food
Dinner was expensive for what it was. Frozen chips etc. Not enough quantity of buffet starters and deserts.

Does the job

Posted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels
Pretty standard fare Campanile hotel, although a bit odd in that the reception is in a separate building from the rooms. To get access to the rooms you have to leave the reception building and walk round the back, then climb a spiral staircase which is open to the elements onto an outside balcony. The rooms open straight onto the balcony (think Butlins chalets). The room and bathroom were both clean. Again a bit odd in the bathroom though in that the shaving mirror was over the toilet instead of over the sink! Ample car parking space (locked at night). Hotel is a few minutes' walk from Roubaix Grand Place where you can get the métro into Lille.

Not bad for a quicm overnight stay

Stayed in the hotel for one night Oct/13, hotel is a little run-down and could use some modernizing. All the staff were nice and courteous. Rooms are stale but like everything could use some modernizing. All in all, not too bad.

Needed to be here

Where to start, No airconditioning and room smelt smoke..This hotel is a bit Jeckel n Hyde.. Rooms so so but servicable, but the restaurant and meals were very good. Hotel is only 5 minute walk to large shopping centre..Over all the City needs a real face lift.
