How did they achieve a 3 star rating?

Pros: Not much!
Reasonably convenient to the historic centre of Rouen it is situated next to a shopping centre which also acts as the car park for the hotel. Not impressed. The title of this review says it all

Good basic hotel ideL for a night stop ovef

If arriving by car you need to know that the car parking is in the main car park for the saint several shopping centre, level -1, area 16. Then take the lift to the hotel. It is impossible to get to the hotel by using the address in the sat nav

Hotel with good parking facilities and shops

Ok poor breakfasts and bathroom very cramped None of the Staff could not speak English very well

Room small, bathroom tiny, shower peculiar to say

Cons: Comfort, facilities
Location: In a commercial centre away from the old town
As above, the room was small, the bathroom was tiny, and the shower had a very peculiar mode of operation. Breakfast was ok

Walking distance to town center.

Neighborhood kind of grubby. Room like a Monk's cell. No storage. Suitcases placed at foot of bed completely obstructed door to hall, otherwise had to be placed on bed. Couldn't really turn around in bathroom, molds and dirty in corners. Nice church across hotel, restaurant good.

Although not in the main touristn area of Rouen it

The only comment I would like to make is why when you make the reservation does the hotel not advise you that the parking is in a public car park and although it is beneath the hotel it is a few minutes drive away to get there. It would have been a great help if they had told me before hand how to get to the car park as the entrance to the hotel is in a pedestrianised area and I had to park in a prohibited area to go into the hotel to find where to park. A detailed map could have been sent to me with the reservation confirmation.

Average hotel that did the job for one night

As a tourist I'd try to stay north of the river in the older part of town. This place did the job for one night while I was commuting.
