“Wife and I came for a wedding and stayed here after for a few days in Vermont. The Essex Resort was a great home base for our travel, it felt so peaceful and the staff was beyond friendly. We felt taken care of during a time we wanted rest. We ate at Lazy Goat Tavern, walked the resort, and enjoyed the hot tub in our room (not all rooms have this).”

“Very nice room layout. Even though sink was not in bathroom, it was not visible to rest of room. Great breakfast. Will stay again. ”

Our he’d was super comfy and the shower was lovely. Recommend a stay if you’re looking for a quiet respite right within the great city of Burlington!!”

“The property is a little dated, but that is ok. The only issue I had was the AC unit was leaking, and the carpet was wet. I called the front desk. They were going to send someone to vacuum it up, but they never showed up.”
