A badly needed few days away.

Pros: The staff.
Cons: The décor - everywhere.
Location: The location was OK if you were going further afield, but it was about 2 miles outside Royal Tunbridge Wells so it meant always using the car.
However, the hotel is in need of a refurbishment. Although clean internally (the cleaners do a good job) it is shabby, the furniture is knocked and the door handles etc. are old and scruffy. It has all the usual facilities hairdryer, coffee making etc. The iron and ironing board are fixed to the wall in the entrance area near the bathroom and are perfect for catching your arm or clothes on! Breakfast was a buffet and could have been fresher, eggs all cooked at once and so were hard and the bacon always had white gunk on it. The staff were all very pleasant and we were immediately offered help in carrying our luggage upstairs - there is no lift. It would have been great if the quality of décor and furnishing were what one expects these days. However it wasn't.

Clean hotel, affordable price

I stayedcgerecforctwo nights in June 2017, and although I spent most of my time out of the hotel I can have no complaints about the hotel or staff who were all very helpful and friendly. Based on my experience I would stay here again and recommend it to others

Central for visit to coast and town

Toni on reception was excellent, multi tasking and always a smile. Toiletries in room were basic. No biscuits with tea tray. Menu in restaurant was not inspiring, however the lamb was delicious. Set menu was very uninteresting! Head waiter excellent and very helpful. No choice of pillows and quite a bit of road noise in room. Beds very comfortable.

2 drops of blood on my second pillow, very good service in the restaurant and food was nice. Service at checkout was appalling.

One night stay

This is a nice enough hotel however it is getting a little bit dated and starting to show some wear and tear. The hotel has good amenities such as the pool and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. Only downside was the bed was a bit soft for me, so not as comfortable as I would have liked.

Location: Good location if you have a car!
Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Food prices a bit expensive, especially breakfast if you only have toast and marmalade!!

Lovely break away, no complaints

Perfect overnight break away. Lovely clean pool and spa. Rooms clean. All basic needs met well by this hotel and it's team. Lovely welcome on arrival. Everything explained. Food was superb. Breakfast was buffet style but well presented and easy to access. It was hot and yummy! The dinner we had in the evening was fantastic! The burgers were awesome! We would go again without a doubt. Friendly and well presented staff

Not totally satisfied and won't be returning.

Our room wasn't ready at 2 pm check-in time. We had to wait half an hour, whilst the room was still being cleaned. I think the bedrooms/bathroom are looking very tired. The breakfast wasn't that exciting and I didn't rate the service of the staff - the wiped the crumbs off the table onto the floor and chairs and the bin was overflowing behind the restaurant desk.
