"The property is in a really great area. The home itself is a great place to stay for a vacation, with many beds and enough rooms. However, the bathrooms and kitchen seemed not well maintained. While we did not need to use the kitchen, we were not keen to use the Bathroom for a shower since we didnt like it . Overall good stay, except clenliness of the place."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. The views are amazing and it was the perfect place to relax. The decor is tasteful, the home very comfortable, and Melissa was very attentive and responsive. We had one issue upon check in but Melissa was quick to respond and resolve it. We definitely want to return and would recommend this property for your next vacation! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we enjoyed making new family memories!"

"The house is situated in the ideal spot on a peninsula. You feel like you have privacy without feeling totally isolated. The house is way cool. The view is awesome from the living room. The dock is a great bonus even if you’re just gonna watch the sunrises and sunsets. We saw dolphins swimming fairly close nearly every day. Just a tad disappointed in the fishing situation there at the house. I didn’t catch a fish at all and I tried for days. Went to North State Guide services and had a great day...

"This nice fifth wheel is located in a secluded marina with a great view of the water. The covered picnic table area was a perfect place to drink our coffee each morning and cook and eat dinner at night. The owners are on site and are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again."

"Rented the property for my daughter’s graduation from ECU. So glad we picked this tranquil spot to stay rather than the city! The house has lots of space, the kitchen is well stocked with essentials, and the view from the living room is spectacular! Most of our time was spent sitting in the yard just talking! "We loved every inch of Sweetwater Cottage. The neighborhood amenities are very nice and easy to access. Bullfrogs sang us to sleep. Spotless and comfortable! Super quiet neighborhood. "A unique house! We loved the antique pin ball machine! Home was clean and well stocked. The pool looked inviting but too cold for us to use. We did enjoy sunset on the dock. Oriental was a precious town and just a few minutes drive from the home. Property manager was great to communicate with and responded quickly to a minor issue. We loved the tote bag! We enjoyed our stay!"

"The house does not give the feel of a beach or lake home because of the older design and layout however the location and tranquil setting was fantastic and more than made up for the feel of the home. All the neighbors were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. Wished the home was available for the two weeks we were staying in the area."

An Oasis Retreat that we look forward to Revisiting ASAP

The dock is a great bonus even if you’re just gonna watch the sunrises and sunsets. We saw dolphins swimming fairly close nearly every day. Just a tad disappointed in the fishing situation there at the house. I didn’t catch a fish at all and I tried for days. Went to North State Guide services and had a great day fishing that made up for it. Very clean property. Well maintained and looked like the pictures but better. The owners/hosts were great to work with. Beautiful area! The natural beauty (trees and natural coastline) might not be there much longer though. There was a lot of construction noise during the days. I hope the area doesn’t get over developed and take away the reason you travel there. As for now, can’t wait to go back!"
