“Lovely pub and restaurant with well appointed rooms adjoining. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room decor was Scandi-style - very attractive as well as sufficiently comfortable. Lovely view over the garden and beyond to the woods from my room window.”

“The rooms were so hot couldn’t be helped in this heat but couldn’t sleep art all , gave us a fan but it wasn’t much good , breakfast was ok but on the first morning run out of orange juice and coffee machine wasn’t working that well . On the Saturday there was a wedding party music was loud into the night nobody told us in advance”

“The wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in the New Forest. The hotel was great, our room was light and airy. Although a little warm because of the heat wave we were able to open windows on both sides that brought in a draft in the evening which quickly cooled the room down, that and use of the excellent shower meant that we coped easily. Each room also has a small allocated outdoor space which was particularly welcome during the hot weather and we enjoyed some fish and chips on……

“It’s a steal location for nature lovers, tree huggers and general lovers of good service. The rooms are excellently laid out and have a super selection of drinks, hot chocolate, tea,coffees. The Bathrooms look and feel modern and have a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Very hard to find fault with this venue as Lucy and all the staff without exception go out of their way to please and accommodate your stay without being intrusive or overbearing. “A lovely hotel that needs some improvements mainly around its staff. This is a lovely period property that has been modernised to a high standard. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and have lots of excellent amenities including a Dyson hairdryer and snacks and tea and coffee maker provided free in the room. The food at dinner was lovely but the menu is very limited so I would check before having your meal that you actually can eat something from there. Please note there is no air……

“Pleasant indoor and outdoor spaces, room 3 in attic ,not suitable for above average height (low beams) not mentioned when booking. no biscuits, water or remote for TV and no fan provided during heatwave.Food purchased was of a poor standard and overpriced. Found staff to be very inexperienced.”

“Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!”

“Oak Tree Rooms was an excellent base for our New Forest weekend. I think the only drawback was the other people staying - they did like a loud conversation through a locked door, which was quite annoying! Other than that, the rooms were very comfortable indeed.”
