Lovely, atmospheric place to unwind

I found this a brilliant place to unwind after travelling and work. The house is characterful, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owners have thought of lots of things to make your stay special. I liked having a teapot and a cup and saucer in my room and a jug of milk in the little fridge for example ( I can't bear mugs or those little plastic milk pots!). Breakfast was good and makes use of local produce, some from their own garden, some from within the lovely village. The hosts are very environmentally friendly. My room was "Paul's room" at the top of the house. It was cosy with a canopy over the bed and beams. The bathroom was modern and well appointed with a bath and a shower. There are interesting photos and stories about the history of the house dotted about the place. I had a nice wander around the garden after breakfast, it's pretty and relaxing. I can't fault the service at all. I couldn't get wifi in my room although the service was fine down in the public areas. It would have been a problem if I'd needed to work online in the evening but I was happy not to! This is the perfect spot to relax and forget about the outside world. I absolutely recommend it. They have a policy of only accepting children over the age of 12 which also adds to the peaceful ambience!
