The refrigerator was located at the foot of the bed and ticked like a time bomb. The rooms need rearranged. It was generally pretty quite other than the refrigerator and a heavy footed person upstairs that walked around a lot around midnight. Otherwise it was a nice room. Had to check out early because the Walgreens Pharmacy my Dr sent my prescription to was closed for the weekend.

This was my first time staying at a hotel in Ruidoso - we usually airbnb but it was a great experience. The hotel is older so there isn’t a lot of upgradable features. The locks are a chain lock and our door had a large crack at the top so we could hear lots of outside noise, but the room was large and roomy. The bathtub didn’t train well but the water pressure was great and hot! There was a ceiling fan in the room which I’ve never seen before but it was overall a good room to utilize for 48 hours. The breakfast was small but got the job done. My mom did find a small bug in her coffee but I’m sure that can happen anywhere. The hot tub and pool were great. A little outdated as well but served its purpose after a long day in the snow. Overall it was great for the budget and time frame.

Overall the property was outdated but good. Good location and amenities. Unfortunately lack of noise insulation and no seals on the doors allows lets in all noise from other rooms and the hallway.

Stuffy room. No good airflow. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The refrigerator didn’t work. Bathroom sink water smells bad like sewer water.

Short staffed causes an avalanche of issues
I filled out the registration sent to speed up the process. This did not speed up the process, in fact it was a waste of time. The person checking us in was nice however, not helpful & appeared to have a language barrier. The breakfast was okay & those serving it were very kind. Service was difficult for getting towels, toiletries & garbage. The room was not serviced at all during our stay despite being told it would be on the 3rd day. The pool didn't have towels. I believe that all of these issues are due to being extremely short staffed.

We enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed. The room and bathroom were clean, staff was efficient and friedly. Only thing we didnt like was pool hours cut off at 9pm even on Friday and Saturday night. We've stayed other places where weekend hours are extended to 11pm, so that was disappointing.
