Great house with lots of room within walking distance of many historical sites. We all enjoyed our stay! Would definitely highly recommend!
Very unique property with a wonderful infinity pool and restaurant. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but just a bit shabby with a need for a slight facelift. Overall, this place was worth the visit and stay.
First, the practical, which every traveller appreciates: good parking, perfect easy walk to town, simple check-in, lovely owners. It's a finely kept old house with beautifully finished floors, comfortable, books, coffee, rooms to sit and chat or relax...the bed was sooo cozy, the duvet, the size ...
The check in people -- two bored teenagers -- when we arrived at 7 pm on Saturday, after 90 miles of biking, were outstandingly unhelpful. It took them three tries to give us working keys that opened the door to a room that was not already occupied by other customers. Not a good start. The hotel ...
Had a relaxing 3 days at the tiny house, would definitely go back.
Such a one of a kind house and such a great view from the top deck. We will definitely be looking for this place on our next trip to WV.
Owners of this property were gracious, helpful, and great communicators. Friends and I were biking the GAP/C&O canal trails and scheduled to arrive Sharpsburg on a rainy day. The owners messaged me that morning and offered to pick us up in their van at the highway, which we didn’t take advantage ...
Leslie's cottage is just adorable. It had everything we needed for a quiet break from city life. It was very quiet and comfortable and easy to get to. Shepherdstown is just a few minutes away and has nice dining and shopping options. Hope to get back there again.
Adventures come in many different shapes and sizes. You'll have memories aplenty after a visit to Rumsey Steamboat Museum.
It is situated in Martinsburg, a trip of 220 miles from Charleston, the state capital.
Rumsey Steamboat Museum is adjacent to some local spots where worn out sightseers can take a break after a day of touring and taking pictures. Grab a seat with a view, buy a coffee and get a caffeine fix at Lost Dog Coffee Fine Arts Drink Emporium. Tourists looking for a more nourishing dining experience can dig into a meal at Betty's Restaurant, a dining spot that's also close. When all is said and done, find your way to domestic restaurant and let the drinks keep pouring.
