Don’t expect anything from management.

We both use CPAP machines, but this room did not have outlets available by the bed. Requested extension cord and were told we could go in to town to buy our own. Most exterior hallways are glazed tiles which gets slippery when wet. My wife slipped , fell and broke her wrist. She did see the company nurse who made a splint out of cardboard and tape and arranged transport options to a hospital an hour away. We had to pay for this. Management never offered to pay for anything. It was our fault because they had many caution warnings posted throughout the complex. Over $8,000 dollars later we were back to the resort to finish out our vacation. We missed many of the excursions we were planning to participate in. On the plus side, we were helped a lot by the two concierges provided by Expedia (Georgia and Maxine).

Hotel with everything

This was our 4th time at this hotel, and everything about this hotel is on point. The food is great along with a nice variety of restaurants, all the restaurants are good but Don Pablo is my favorite, really good staff, nice beach and good entertainment nightly. We will definitely be going back to this resort.

Time to Revamp

Although the hotel is relatively nice, there are many areas for improvement. The « Jamaican cuisine » is underwhelming, extremely salty and rarely warm. On two occasions were unable to get each towels. And rather than get in a long winded rant, the point of this review is advise management and anyone higher up managing this property that change starts at the top. The staff will be happy if you i treat them as such and not commodities. It’s very uncomfortable as a traveler.

Beautiful view

on my arrivals after checking in I went to my room it was awful stinky and smelly. Went and complain was told there won't be a room available until the next day. I refuse to go back to that room,. and. was a sign a new room eventually the same night . there was not even water in the second room I felt like I was I called to report that my refrigerator was not stock and was told the person who stock it won't be there until 7 the next day. You have just lost 24 people not coming back to your hotel that's all many of us was there at least eight of us of major issue with our service and or room

Grand Bahia

Ideal location and wonderful staff. Hotel ownership needs to invest in repairing the facilities and providing better daily activities and entertainment. I have been coming here for the past five years and the deterioration of the hotel while not excessive, is still apparent. I keep coming back because the staff is very authentic and the smiles you receive are genuine. If you happen to come by make sure you ask for Francine Robinson (Front Desk Supervisor), Orlando Pinnock (Bell Hop), Kenard (Room Service) or Ruth-Ann, Marvin or Annja in the Dining Hall. All the staff will go out of their way to assist you, but those I have mentioned have always gone the extra mile. Don’t be shy, say hello when you walk by the staff and feel the warmth and love.

Do not stay at grand bahia principe

Hotel is very confusing and lots of the restaurants were closed. Main buffet did not have a good selection of food. Staff were rude and unhelpful. We asked for our room fridge to be restocked with water and no one ever came for 4 days. Had to go to the lobby and tell them that my cousin was diabetic in order to get a bottle of water. This resort has way too many steps that are not maintained. I slipped and fell on a wet step that did not have any cauton signs and badly injured my back. My whole vacation was ruined after that. No bars and restaurants on the resort are open at 10:50pm. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have been to Jamaica 4 times and this was the worst resort that I have ever been to. Stay at the Riu ocho rios instead. Much better staff and quality of food/bar selection. The Grand Bahia Principe wants you to pay extra for everything. This resort is not truly an all inclusive. STAY FAR AWAY

Nice family resort. Stayed on the luxury side and it was a bit quite. Loved the atmosphere and music on the Grand side. If you want premium alcohol you can get it only on the luxury side in the lobby.

nice property

Pros: Property is beautiful and super clean.
Cons: Handful of nice, friendly staff. I would recommend that the staff have a friendlier attitude.
Location: This time we just went to relax by the beach or pool.
Decided to go back to this property after 4 years because we had such a great time then. However, we were totally disappointed with the staff, 90% we found were not friendly or super helpful. At the beginning we were wondering why we didn't see much tipping going around since we are tippers, then we notice why. Property is super maintain as well as the beach and pool area. Food is average as in all inclusive properties but in all fairness there are plenty of chooses at the buffet as well as at the a la carte restaurants. All in all it was relaxing and we enjoyed ourselves.

The hotel is very big which I️ liked a lot. The water park kept my 23 month year old very entertained and tired him out. The pools were great. We were a little disappointed in the lack of air conditioning in our room. The food is ok but over all we enjoyed our stay.

Great beach and pool. Good food. Room ok

Pros: The property is well maintained. Service for the Resturants was great.
Cons: Front desk should be more understanding with problems !!
Location: Great location.
The beach and pool was great. The food was also good. The Ocean was fantastic. We had an issue with pigeons On our Balcony making and nasty mess. Went to front desk for help and the response was that they are only birds !! The housekeeping was not very good. I do not think they swept or mopped our floor the 8 days we were there. Had to call 2 times during the week to have our coffee station replenished.
