Florida Vacation

Overall I was pleased with the Inn at Little Harbor. The view from my room was amazing! My room overlooked a beautiful canal with mangroves in the back round. One morning an alligator surfaced from under the water, it made my day. The room and the furnishings were outdated but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Being that I have two artificial disks in my back I was very pleased how comfortable the bed was. The hotel wasn't too pricy so if you're budget conscious but still want something nice I would recommend the Inn at Little Harbor.

It was average

We booked this hotel because it was half way between our two major destinations. Looking back I wouldn't book here again. The staff was friendly but the hotel itself was not in great condition. The room was small and needs updating. The room we got was not like what was pictured. The outlets were few and far between which doesn't work well if you have to charge phones, watches etc. and when I tried to use my charger and curling iron in the bathroom the fuse would blow so I could only charge one at a time. The hot tub did not work and the pool by the hot tub was dirty and had leaves and other things floating in it. The overall location was far from the main road and not what I expected.

Nice hotel for the money. (Off season)

Restaurant ok, nothing special could use more spices in entrees. Service alittle slow. Maid service could use improvement on some basic little things. Spoke to svc mgr when leaving and she agreed

Lots of problems but at the beach, nice views

Pros: Great views and at the beach, ok pool but small. Most staff tried to be helpful and were nice. Room was really large and nice and clean.
Cons: Get the wifi working. Improve housekeeping. Let people know when booking there is no elevator and they are on the second floor. Add elevator.
Location: There is NOTHING to do here. All shopping & good restaurants are 20 mi or more away. Golf, boat, swim and visit old folks is all there is to do.
Room was large, clean, and nice. Housekeeping not so great. Didn't always replace used items or put pillows back, change bed. No elevator and my room type was only on second floor. Only options were larger more expensive one or smaller one on ground floor. No one to help with bags. They advertise wifi but it never worked the entire 8 days and they admitted they had lots of problems. Computer in business office didn't work and front desk had to print my boarding pass. Noisy in-room a/c unit. All in all, never again. Too bad because the beach location and price were terrific. There are 2 restaurants, one by the pool and it was ok. not great. Never went to the other one. Over 2 mi to other local stores and restaurants which were very few. Pretty isolated. They also have condos and a few marinas nearby so could be good for families -- no traffic -- and boaters. No good restaurants in area and have to drive 7 mi to Sun City Center for food and basic services, like banks, drug stores, markets, etc. and then it is all fast food and diners. All shopping and good restaurants are over 20 mi away in Brandon, Tampa, or Sarasota. I was visiting my mother in Sun City Center and the extra drive and issues weren't worth it to stay here.

Private beach access and a balcony for each room!

Location: South Shore Pizza best pizza in town!
I booked the reservation 2 months in advance for 2 rooms side by side or across the hall from each other only to arrive and discover they could not honor the request. So my party was split down the hall from each other huge disappointment! 1 of the rooms had a nice 40 inch flat screen TV while the other had an old 19 inch model so another huge disappointment. The a/c units are loud but worked. Hotel rooms all have microwaves and refrigerators. The private beach access is the best part! You never have to rush out to secure a spot and chairs and umbrella are provided. The Sunset Grill Restaurant is okay with pricey menu conveniently located between the beach and hotel. The Hook's Bar and Grill does not serve African Americans apparently. We waited for 45 minutes for a server only to finally be told she was covering too many tables and could not take our order. We ended up ordering pizza from South Shore Pizza and it was 10 times better than anything we saw on the menu at Hook's Bar and Grill. Better in price, food quality and service! I would not recommend this hotel to large traveling parties because rooms are not constant throughout and pool space is limited (actual pools are very small as well (3ft & 5ft) is all you get! We were there for 3 days staying right in front of the pool area. We saw the pool open and close each day and never witnessed anyone cleaning it. Just think hot tub, 3 days of random stranger bodily fluids...no thanks!

Was amazing relax we love it

Is a great place for family, to relax your self they have everything, pool, beach, bar restaurants, park for kids, you not need go out for nothing.

Hotel not near beach

The ads say resort on beach; beach is maybe a couple of feet. I was charged $40/day for possible damages (not Spring Break & im not a young person). The resort had 2 restaurants; both over-priced for what you got. Housekeeping gave clean towels & made the bed everyday (no clean sheets nor cleaning bath fixtures or floors). Floors were nasty (I had to wear shoes whole time I was there). Management would have allowed strangers in my room had I not had doors deadbolted (& it wasn't checkout time). All in all, if you want a trip to the beach, go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place at all. It gets a 0.5 on a scale of 1-5.

Dirty hotel not close to beach

I booked a room with 2 beds with ocean view. The room was not clean, bed was not very comfortable & I never found a beach. The hotel charged a $40/day fee in case of damages upon check-in. It wasn't spring break & I am a woman in my 50's who is non smoker/drinker. The cleaning staff never swept or mopped floor so room was not clean or sanitary. Other reviews have mentioned wifi & flat screen tvs; I had neither. The resorts idea of a beach is a fenced area youvcannot access that is only about 2 feet deep. The management team even try to show the rooms before you can check out & vacate the premises. Find a different hotel to go to & enjoy your trip somewhere else, this place isn't worth the high fees.
