Best little hotel in North Beach!

Posted Dec 28, 2017
Pros: Love the location, the ambience and the sense of Place geographically in a City that is loosing some of its character to over modernization.
Cons: Let guests know before arrival where parking can be found and suggest allowing time to find said parking.
Location: Eat, enjoy cocktails, eat, wander, shop, see a show, photograph the architecture, write, eat....it's North Beach in SF what is not to do!
If you want a true experience without too much fluff or fuss this is the place - although pre think your parking as there is not hotel parking so just have a plan so you are not wandering the streets. The quaint, clean, spare room was warm, clean, and the view over the the Stella Bakery really is an exquisite way to experience the essence of true North Beach! A writers desk might be a nice addition but all in all a perfect non commercial place to stay. The sherry was delightful as was the art in the room.

Hotel in San Francisco

Posted Dec 20, 2017
Pros: The decor and the location
Location: Lots of restaurants, bars and music within walking
Stayed Friday night to experience SF nightlife without driving. Hotel is right by Washington Square (not far from Fisherman's Wharf) in the middle of restaurants and a great variety of bars. Many of the bars had music on Friday night and the hotel had a poster by the check-in desk that showed the list of bars and who was playing. All within a few block walk of the hotel. The hotel is an older renovated building with great character. The possible downside is you have to go up an narrow staircase. If you have trouble with stairs or a large suitcase it might be a problem. We had neither so we really enjoyed the layout and decor.

For the true feel of san Francisco, Hotel Boheme is the best. In the heart of North Beach with an understated feel . Close to City lights and Cafe Trieste

This hotel is unique, in a lively area, with a very nice staff. However, the rooms are small and the street can get extremely noisy some nights. We also had issues with our toilet working properly, but it eventually got fixed. They also could do a better job cleaning areas of the rooms, like the walls and artwork.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. We did request a quiet room away from the street (which it was) but thought the room was a little dark. The bed was very comfortable, staff very friendly.

All about the location

The location was incredible and the room was clean. Our only complaint was that we were so hot! There were no screens on the windows so we didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open as we slept since the room was accessible from the roof of the adjoining building.
