This inn felt like a hidden gem! Accessing it was through some VERY narrow cobblestone roads and street parking was a bit off putting, but we were quite pleasantly surprised by the lobby and staff who welcomed us. Our room (Castle View 1) was lovely with a spotless updated bath. We ate dinner in the Resturant and it was excellent, and stopped for a glass of wine in the bar, also good. I wish we had booked a longer stay!

Stayed here for one night and had one of the best night's sleep ever. Sheets, mattress toppers, pillows and duvets all wonderfully luxurious. Excellent place for a romantic break. Nice breakfast. NB there is no parking so you have to use the market car park which is a few hundred yards down the hill.

We were visiting family so used hotel as a base. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast tasty and good quality.
Our room was made up if half a larger room which made it feel a bit pokey but the bed was comfortable. We did not try to spar or pool. Probably not best value for our visit but a solid quality hotel.
