It looks like an English Castle... love it ; Old feeling. They have a fantastic restaurant and bar. The waitress were awesome friendly. Easy to find, on the highway, close to McDonald's and gas station.

close to where I wanted to be.

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: location
Cons: needed air condition
Location: close to airport and ferries
Bed was small not a queen, room was hot and when I opened window could hear all highway traffic so had to close it. If I stayed there again I would get a ground floor room.

Dont bother!

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!!
Location: Horrible view from rear bedroom over wasteland. On main intersection of road. Nothing nearby apart from a petrol station and McDonalds.
Tired, outdated hotel. Dark, dingy, frayed at the edges, and trying to emulate an old English inn. The older reception was unwelcoming and didn't even tell us our room or floor number! Breakfast was a shambles-had to wait 30 minutes for a knife as I was told they didn't have any and then the breakfast person disappeared! Sat waiting with cold toast and no knife to butter it with so went to reception who told her to borrow steak knife from the restaurant!! She didn't refill the breakfast and so only one yoghurt left and was just plain rude. The following day a lovely woman looked after the breakfast. Not good enough to be treated this way. Reception did apologise when we left but really need to get rid of such poor staff. I realise it was a budget hotel but simple customer service should be foremost.

So much character! It doesn't feel at all like an airport chain hotel- looks like an English tavern- staff was super accommodating- room was very charming and comfortable!

We aren't an airport chain…just a humble family owned hotel. We are so happy that you enjoyed the charm and stay. Come back soon!

Pros: Quaint
Cons: Softer beds.
Close to our venue. Good breakfast. Beds were too hard for our liking. All in all.....comfortable and clean. Great shower.

Okay place to stay but could definitely be improve

Posted Jul 16, 2016
Pros: Great location - close to airport, minutes to Sidney, minutes to down town Victoria, minutes to the Buchart Gardens.
Cons: The complimentary breakfast
Location: See above.
Staff was friendly and rooms were clean but furniture is dated and bathrooms could use some improvements. Fridges in some rooms but not in others. Internet and TV were very good. Biggest complaint is with the complimentary breakfast. There is no variety. Same sausage and phoney eggs every day. They could improve it by alternating between sausage, bacon, sausage patties and even breakfast ham on different days. Eggs could be scrambled some days or poached. We stayed here 6 nights and it was exactly the same every day. No waffle maker, no bran muffins, minimal fresh fruit. The breakfast bar is really in need of improvement.

Hotel has a lot of character, close to airport and the value for your money is excellent. Have stayed there several times and it never disappoints.

Nice hotel close to the airport and highway

Posted Jun 13, 2016
Pros: The complimentary breakfast was good, with an assortment of options.
Cons: Improve sound insulation
Location: Close to the highway and airport.
The hotel was quaint and had an interesting decor. The only downside, which I was warned about when checking in, was the noise from the highway and the birds when the sun came up.

Nice hotel right off the high way

Posted Jun 6, 2016
Pros: Nice staff; Clean room and bed;
Cons: I notice a tape closed off the air conditioner. I believe it might be for conserving environment. It would be great if there's note next to it.
Location: Irish Pub inside the hotel; 15 minutes away from Swatz Ferry Terminal; Gas station; 30 minutes away from Victoria
At first I didn't have much expectation of this place at all. I only booked it because it was very closed to the ferry terminal. The front desk lady was very nice. The room was cleaned. The bed was comfortable. Free breakfast served very early.

A bit dated, but free breakfast and very good rate. Good place to stay if you're going to Butchart Gardens the next day.
