Overall a nice hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2017
Pros: 1. Very nice lobby. 2. Professional, helpful and friendly staff across the board. 3. Room service offered for food. 4. Spacious room
Cons: 1. Besides the lobby, that appears renovated, the hotel was worn down and also messy in several areas.
Location: Not much to do nearby the hotel. But there is a 5.11 store virtually next door where I shopped.
The purpose of the trip was to visit relatives for a few days. Overall, I rate this hotel as above average. Many sections outside, the welcome area in the lobby, were worn down, dirty and sometimes messy. I would have otherwise provided a higher rating. I checked in early on the first day and was well-received at the desk in the lobby. All personnel and staff that I interacted with were highly professional and friendly towards the customers. The lobby is very nice. It looks like it was renovated. There is a great restaurant in the hotel that serves outstanding food, but the breakfast buffet is expensive. There is also a bar in the hotel that offers a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a beverage at the end of the day. There is not much offered within walking distance but restaurants are located within a 10-minute drive. I recommend this hotel for trips that are more business focused like work or, in my case, visiting relatives.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at the Crowne Plaza Sacramento Northeast. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and we're glad that you enjoyed our Arbor Grille restaurant and lounge. However; we must apologize if other areas were not clean and well kept as they should have been. We're sharing your comments with our Executive Housekeeper and our entire management team to address. Thank you for helping us to improve. We hope you'll choose to stay with us again on your next trip to visit your relatives.

Freeway traffic noise

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: Easy access to I-80
Cons: Improve sound proofing rooms facing the freeway.
Location: Non applicable, just passing through town
Hotel was obviously not fully booked but they gave me a room behind the elevator by the stairs. Once inside the room I noticed a pair of ear plug by the end stand – first indication I might not have a restful sleep; the room faces Interstate 80. Traffic noise lasted pass 11pm and started again early in the morning. If you book this hotel make sure the room is not facing the freeway.

Exceptional Service

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: Service was exceptional!!
Cons: The food at the restaurant wasn't very good but that could have been the specific meal or the fact that I wasn't feeling very good!
Location: I didn't have a car so there were a few restaurants, a Walgreens, Target and Starbucks within walking distance
The staff was exceptional from checkin to checkout including the wait staff at the restaurant. As I checked in they noticed I was in a double room but staying by myself so they upgraded me to a king size bed at no additional charge. I worked out after checking in and the facility was OK but just good enough for a quick workout. I wasn't feeling well so the staff help me find a Target within walking distance and then I came back and grabbed a quick bite at the restaurant where the staff continued to exceed expectations. The meal wasn't very good and they recognized that I wasn't enjoying my meal so brought out a dessert free of charge. My waitress, Tyler, recognized that I wasn't feeling very well so she brought out a pitcher of Sprite to take to my room for my sore throat. I checked out in the morning so they kept my bags for me while I walked down to Starbucks. Your experience may vary but the entire staff should be commended for their exceptional service.

Very old facility., wall paper pealing off the walls not fit for Crown Plaza flag. Room does not smell right, dirty carpet, restroom exhaust not working. Windows need upgrade, too much noise from freeway. Extremely loud AC. Went for breakfast at restaurant next morning, it took 55 minutes to get simple breakfast order to table. I certainly do not recommend this hotel. Stay away.

Fine for overnight stay

Posted Oct 1, 2017
The hotel was conviently located for a quick overnight after a late flight before driving on the next morning. I couldn't see a longer stay. It's next to the highway, so no views. The lobby is cavernous and industrial rather than welcoming. The room was ok, but worn. Nice staff, though!

Good Stay

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Used the gym every morning, liked that it had a few free weights. Hot tub was good. Room was decent and price point was good.
Cons: Needs more ventilation in the rooms. A tad musty
Location: Good to go to downtown in 15min and into Rocklin in 15.
Good spot to be if you are going into downtown and up to the foothills. Nice gym and pool area. Room is a little musty needs more ventilation. Not overwhelming.

Posted Sep 21, 2017
THE STAFF WERE VERY NICE. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS EXCELLENT. THE ROOMS WERE SPACIOUS AND THE KING SIZE BED WAS VERY CONFY. ALSO, WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF RESTAURANTS; SUCH AS CHICK FIL A, PANDA EXPRESS, IN-N-OUT BURGER, JUST TO NAME A FEW.
