Delta king was a beautiful boat with many rooms, breakfasts, dinners and a nice bar. The Delta King is in the Sacramento River in Old Town Sacramento. Stay there if you can

One of our two rooms was quite dusty. There are gaps in the doors and every time someone else in the hallway closed their door ours would rattle loudly. Upon our arrival the regular front desk person was training another. That’s great, but the experienced one said to us upon our turn at the counter “I need your ID.” Nothing in the way of hello or welcome in.

The bartender is a not educated guy ,, he is just rude,, I asked for a simple favor ,, and he denied.. too bad for him ,, I’ll never come back to that place ,, but I have to say ,, the girl in the lobby,, educated and servicial,, really nice girl ,,

This was one of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed! What’s unique experience! Rebecca at the registration desk was so wonderful, both helpful and kind, going above and beyond for us!!! The room was clean and very cool! The experience being on the Delta King was amazing! The sea lions outside our room were an added bonus!! We are at the Pilothouse restaurant and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had!! We can’t wait to stay again and for longer to thoroughly explore this fantastic area! Thanks Rebecca!!! This wasnt just a hotel, it was an experience. Very cool to stay on an old paddlewheel boat. Dinner was excellent, steaks, salad, drinks and desert were all good with great service. View of the river at sunset was awesome. Loved the experience and will definitly be back.

Delta King is a boat that was in operation from Sacramento to San Francisco back in 1927, the boat has been preserved with all original decoration and it feels like tour traveling back to those timen when the only way to get to San Francisco was either by boat or by train since the Golden Gate Bridge or any other hadn’t been built yet.

We love this place! The manager, Apple, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us add an extra night to our trip. The server in the restaurant was so cheerful and I loved her! Also, the riverboat/hotel itself is just sO cooL. Overall, fantastic experience.

Hotel boat is picture perfect. Rooms/cabin was large, clean, well maintained. Location was great for exploring by foot. People service in hotel and restaurant was hit/miss.

The Delta King is historically amazing! The room was utmost adorable. I felt so comfortable & very cozy. Loved hearing the wildlife around the area as well. The staff was amazing and the valet services were amazing. They work very hard.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. You get to sleep on a boat! They had a bartender that almost ruined it for us. She was rude to us, other customers and staff.

The hotel is very noisy, especially at night when all the drunk guests return from the bars in Old Sacramento. Very low ceilings in the bathrooms, if you are over 6 feet tall, be careful your head does not hit the ceiling light. AC does not cool the room, and calls to have this fixed during our stay ignored by staff.

Only minor issue was that around 5am a band was playing outside in front of the boat hotel. Not sure if this is a common thing. But it was pretty loud.

The hotel is getting a little run down, and could use some upgrades, but without taking away from the charm of its age. Great location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Was a great experience sleeping on an old boat, was like been part of history. Delta Queen is located in walking distance to restaurants and bars in Old Sacramento, by the way, a great place to go bar hopping without worring about driving.

The property is nice and clean, but the room we stayed at was very basic and small. There are many seals on the dock right in front of hotel, and they barked all night long, so we didn't sleep well at all.

Don't use valet parking they are more expensive then if you park at the garage on the corner over night. Also, the rooms are not meant for tall people the ceilings are very low. Other than that it was a nice place to stay for a one nighter.

This location is perfect for couples. Plenty of shopping and dining just 100ft away. I was pleased with the calm environment and the convenience of the location. I will definitely be back in a few months!

I loved staying on the Delta King itself, but the staff was awful from the bar to the restaurants to the front desk. The valet parking was not great as they did not seem happy. If you wanted to go out late or come in late they also send Valley home if it’s slow and leave your car parked out front rather than in the parking garage it’s such a nice hotel. I don’t understand why all of the staff seemed very unhappy. No one smiled. The bar staff was the absolute worst. Everyone had a very bad attitude With customers and with each other are used to live in Sacramento and now live in Southern California. I travel there for work once a month and I probably will not be staying at this hotel again because of the staff and parking very sad the staff demeanor and attitude should match the Distinguished appearance of the Delta king it does not

Amazing Stay on the Delta King
Staying on the paddle boat is always a fun adventure. When I post on social media the history of the boats and how passengers and produce made its way to the Bay Area is always bonus. It is opportunity to see a pull cord bathroom in action. Love the Service as it beats out its branded counterparts. It is always a great experience on the Delta King.

The staff is amazing. The beda are not comfortable and thins walls and can hear everything. Great location. Glad we did this for the experience but will probably not stay here again.

Check in clerk was annoyed she had to help us. Told us in order to get shampoos & conditioner they would have to be picked up at the front desk (her desk) because they were not in room….then told me I was still checking in & would need to come back after to get them. Room had cigarette burns in the bedding even though they claim to be smoke free. Room stunk, can’t open windows and only heat available in room. Everything was dusty & unkept. Food at the Pilothouse restaurant was good but took forever to see any waiter. Great location & that’s about all it has going for it sadly

Not worth the money. This place needs renovation and deep cleaning. The bathroom in the room wasn’t even clean. The room door required maintenance to come and open because the battery was dead, had to wait under the rain to get to my room. Disappointing stay!
