There's nothing to write home about. We booked a room with two double beds and got a room with one king bed and a "barely twin size" sofa bed. The pullout bed was super uncomfortable- felt every spring in the sofa. For it to have a kitchenette, there were no pots/pans and/or other dishes available if needed. I wasn't going to purchase any just for my stay. The walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors. The staff acted like we were inconveniencing them. We will not be going back there again

Horrible experience!

Cons: actually honor their reservations
Flew across the country and was a female traveling alone. Went to check into the Extended Stay in Sacremento at 9:30 pm (within check-in hours) and finally fall asleep. Approached the reservation desk with my Expedia confirmation in hand. Hotel clerk responded that the hotel was full, along with all of their affiliated hotels. Stated that Expedia had moved my reservation and sent me an e-mail 3 hours earlier. After I politely left the hotel and sat in my car in the middle of the night in a city where I knew no one...I discovered that Expedia did not change my reservation and the hotel clerk lied to my face. There was nowhere to go within a 30-mile radius for my 2-day stay in Sacremento. I have since spent hour on the phone to try to get some compensation for this nightmare. So when Expedia says "no need to call to confirm your reservation"..........I urge you to CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY and do not make a reservation with EXTENDED STAY!

Don't stay here

We were turned away despite our reservation and they wouldn't even let my wife use the bathroom - the concerierge said it was for "customers only."

For a non smoking room it reeked of cigarettes.

The blankets looked like they have never been washed so I slept with only the sheet. Was glad I only needed the room one night

Do not stay here

Gave me a "smoking room" and blamed Expedia. You are not allowed to smoke inside anywhere in CA. And haven't been able to for years? After attempting to just suck it up and stay here, room had missing smoke detector with wires hanging down, room was tiny, smelled horribly and had cigarette burns in the couch. This hotel needs a MAJOR remodel job. And not just a paint job on the out side.

Horrible experience. I don't know what to say about this hotel. Just horrible. Overbooking!!! No room for us.

Dirty falling apart

1st room was gross not cleaned toilet was plugged. Next room had stains toilet paper roll was pulled from the wall and a hole in the corner of the wall also 1 cup 1 wash cloth showed rhey supply some dishes had none.

Terrible hotel experience

This was by far the worst stay I have ever experienced. When we arrived at 10pm, I was advised my reservation may have been sent to a different hotel, 20 miles away. Once that was cleared up, we found out that both rooms, which were supposed to have two full size beds, ended up being single queen size beds. This meant my wife and two children had to sleep in one bed. In the other room, my friend and his dad (both large men) also had to share a queen size bed. We asked for a roll-away for my friends room and the person at the front desk told us it's unavailable and has blood on it. We also had requested non-smoking rooms; however, one room ended up being a smoking room. There was no way my 1yr old and 5yr old were staying in a smoking room, so my friend got to share a queen size bed with his dad in a room that smelled like an ash tray. Our non-smoking room wasn't much better. Once we walked into the non-smoking room, the smell was terrible; like burnt cooking oil and old grease. I'd like to note at this point we tried to find another hotel, but being that it was Sac States graduation that weekend, all hotels were completely booked. When we were trying to go to sleep, my wife noticed something crawling on the wall, which ended up being a cockroach. All of our travel bags ended up hanging from the closet so we didn't take home any unwanted guests, and no offer of a discount for our troubles.I can't understand how this hotel has somehow been able to receive a 3 star rating.
